I have used Power Pro braided line for several years. As far as I'm concerned, Spectra Slick 8 was the standard for braided line. The new V2 braided line does not need that standard! I installed V2 on two of my reels (30# on a Lexa 300 and 40# on a Lexa 400). The "Mellow Yellow" line left a chalky residue on both of my reels. After fishing with the line for only a few days, so much chalk came off that my reels were covered in yellow residue and the line began to lose its color.
