This chain is used for a gateway into our fenced yard. It is heavy duty and does not show any signs of rust following the very wet winter we have had. The 20 inch length is long enough to wrap around the poles, and provided a secure closure with the useful clips at the end of the chain. We have a good sized chain link dog enclosure out back that has the flip style door type handle in it. With enough shaking sometimes the handle can get worked up and open. I picked this chain up to prevent exactly that and it works great. It's heavy enough to prevent them from breaking open the door even if they do manage to wiggle the handle up. I can get it tight enough with the two locking clips so there is little to no wiggle room and it has worked fantastic so far. I'm very glad we have this chain now so I don't have to keep going out to recover my dogs when they get overly excited and work their way out. I got this to put on our cattle gate to make sure it stays closed. We have a gate closer to a main road and it gets a lot of action. We had it tied shut with baling twine but wanted something easier to open and this works. Nice and long to fit around the post and gate. Comes with a carabiner to hook it together. I didn’t expect it to be black or dark colored since it was to be stainless steel. Feels lighter duty than most chains we use but it is better than what we were using. Made in China. ... show more
