Be prepared for this shelf to be crooked. It's cute, kinda cool, and does not take too long to put together. That said, it's a bit wonky and I don't think it's because of how I put it together! It makes a perfect shoe shelf for my entryway, but it IS a little off-kilter.

    • Easy to assemble, versatile, not 100% secure
Overall, I really like this bookcase. I ordered it on a whim for some extra office storage and it fits way more than I expected (my computer tower fits on the top shelf perfectly). My favorite part is that the shelves can slide in on themselves so the size of the bookcase is adjustable. The only problem I have is that, while the shelves are adjustable, there's nothing to lock them into place or keep them from sliding completely in/out with a hard enough bump. They aren't flimsy or wobbly, so I'm not worried about this happening on its own; but when moving it around you have to expertly unload it and pull both pieces at once or finagle it just right. This isn't a dealbreaker, but it would've been nice to have something in place to have the shelves sit a little bit more rigid where you adjust them to. ... show more

This bookshelf took considerable effort to "build" but the result is worth it. It's heavy duty, with lots of space to expand. It's an interesting piece and is already causing arguments between my children as to who's room it stays in. I love that it basically eliminates the need for bookends.

This is an awesome little expandable shelf! It took me 30 minutes to assemble and every single hole lined up perfectly. Also the instructions were super simple. Great little piece for the price. I’m going to use it to store extra shoes.

It looks nice. It is not a very tall bookshelf; more the height of a end table. Maybe a little taller. It's really easy to expand. It wasn't that it was necessarily hard to build, but it was hard to screw the screws in. The holes in the wood were small so you really have to put some work in.
