The ice tray design is brilliant - it keeps whatever food you place on it perfectly chilled for hours. I've used it for a charcuterie as you can see from the photos. I basically took what I had on hand to see how long it would stay cold. I left it sitting on my gas stove rather than the countertop just to see how long it would take for all the ice to melt, and my cats don't jump on the stove. As you can see from the condensation left on the plate after removing some of the food, it lasts a long time. That photo was taken 2 hours after I assembled the food. I removed the rest of the food 4 hours later and it was still cold. I dumped out a lot of ice along with the water I had added to fill the bottom. It was bedtime and I wasn't about to leave food out all night, I have 2 very active nocturnal cats who can't be trusted with food left out. Ever. The 12-inch size is ideal - not too small, not too large. It holds a generous amount without taking up too much table space. The fact that it comes as a 2-set is fantastic value, especially when hosting larger gatherings or wanting to serve multiple items simultaneously. The handles make it super easy to carry. The quality exceeded my expectations. The material is sturdy and well-constructed, easy to clean, and stores nicely when not in use. The clear design looks elegant and lets the food be the star of the show. I presume that these could be used to keep hot hors-d'oeuvres hot too, all you'd need to do is fill the pan with hot water. I haven't used these trays multiple times but I expect they will hold up beautifully with no cracks, discoloration, or issues whatsoever. They are made of stainless steel and it's not the flimsy kind. These are solid. The included forks and tongs are basic and work well. They're also well made. Whether you're a frequent entertainer or just want to elevate your occasional dinner party, I highly recommend this serving dish set. It's practical, elegant, and makes serving cold appetizers effortless. Five stars - definitely worth the purchase!

These serving trays are a great way to serve a large amount of shrimp or seafood cocktail for a party or barbecue. The dish holds quite a bit of ice, which will keep your food cold for hours. And with two of them in the set, you can have quite a spread! Use one for shrimp, another for veggies and cheese. MUCH better than putting your shrimp just on a platter or tray, which is unsafe if you're having an outdoor barbecue in summer. Also better than putting your shrimp directly on ice, which will melt and make a mess. This is a clever way to keep your shrimp cold without the watery mess. And they look great too! The stainless steel is bright and shiny, and the tongs make a nice touch so people don't have to use their hands. I did drop a star off this review because of two quibbles: First, the stainless steel is rather thin so, while they look very high quality, they seem a bit cheap in construction. Second, the little cup for cocktail sauce is way too small for such a large platter of shrimp. Plus, there's not an indent on the tray for the cup to sit, so it won't stay in the middle as people use it. I would have preferred to see a larger cup, and an indent to hold it in place. I will likely buy a larger stainless bowl to use for the sauce. Still, for the price I think these are a good value.

Wow! These are beautiful sturdy stainless steel service dishes! I’ve had the cheap plastic ones in the past, they broke over time, you don’t have to worry about that with these. They have a polished professional chef look to them. They even come with two sauce bowls and two serving tongs. If you need something to serve that shrimp cocktail in and don’t want to worry about them staying cold, these are for you! I won’t have to constantly worry while trying to entertain guests about has it been an hour? Is my ice melted? Are the shrimp still cold? In the past Ive even used the containers from the store that the shrimp cocktail comes in to serve. I constantly had to pull them in and out of the fridge to maintain temperature to keep them fresh and cold. Not anymore. There is so much room for the shrimp. 12 inches on each tray! There are so many things these can be used for. Shrimp, oysters, ceviche, sushi, meats, cheeses, salads, Cole slaw, veggies, chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake, fruit salad, condiments, fruit skewers, and so much more. These are just the cold suggestions, it’s also oven safe. I haven’t even ventured into all the possibilities for that. This is a versatile must have for anyone who hosts parties.
