I bought this smoke and carbon monoxide detector because it's in compliance with state regulations (at least here in New York) for homes being sold. When you're selling a property, being up to code is non-negotiable, and this detector fit the bill perfectly. The price was great too, which is always a bonus when you're already juggling costs for a home sale! I ordered 12 of these to replace old detectors and get a house ready for sale. They are well packaged with minimal wasteful packaging which I really appreciated. Each detector includes a ten-year battery as described. There are multiple types of alarms depending on the situation (low battery, smoke, CO, etc). Each detector also comes with screws and plastic screw anchors which makes installation easy--I was able to install them all in 1-hour. They passed the tests without issues. I am glad I went with this brand for its complete features and great value.

We purchased 18 Photoelectric smoke and carbon monoxide alarm detectors and installed them in our apartments. When the fire department inspected the apartments and looked at these detectors we failed our inspection because they were not UL Listed or ETL Listed. We had to replace all of these detectors in order to pass fire & safety codes for our apartments. This product i made in China and must not have to meet our fire & safety standards. I will be very cautious when purchasing products on Amazon in the future.
