I only used the 4.5mm screwdriver but was nevertheless pleased to have the two other tools. I bought this kit so I could perform surgery on my original SNES console (not the classic mini). All I can say is that the 4.5mm screwdriver that I used served its purpose well and I was able to crack open my SNES without any problems. I am bad at remembering the lefty loosey, righty tighty rule and still managed to get the job done with the 4.5 screwdriver in this kit. It held up well for the most part, while I'm not entirely sure how well or long it will hold up if used often, you get what you pay for, and I was able to use this kit to carry out my little side project. I have all sorts of tools. I even have several small screwdriver sets that have almost every imaginable weird security bits made. None of those sets have the screwdrivers needed to open old Nintendo games. Now I can easily open and clean all my cartridges. Also helpful for replacing button batteries (like in Zelda) so I can save my games. Can't beat the price either. I like how they included all 3 types. ... show more

    • Good price for a decent set of security bits

I purchased these because I recently got my hands on a non-working Nintendo Virtual Boy and needed to repair it. The security bits I already owned were not long enough to reach down into the deep screw holes used on the Virtual Boy. I was able to use these to get it open and repair it. Since then, I've also used one of these drivers to open a malfunctioning Game Gear so I could recap the sound board. Again, it worked like a champ. These seem to be of fairly decent quality oeverall. The handles are cheap blue plastic but the drivers are firmly set in them. The driver metal itself seems strong enough to take some abuse, though as always, one should be careful because stripped screw heads are a bear to get out. I've used them on a number of projects without an issue and they've replaced my existing bits (that had to be fitted into a socketed screwdriver) as my go to tools. The only exception is the Tri-wing screwdriver. I have some cheap screwdrivers made of the same materials as this one. The driver heads on them are liable to chip off. That hasn't happened with this one yet, but it doesn't seem that well made and I worry about durability. Time will tell. Bottom Line: For the hobbyist doing home modding and cleaning projects on their video game equipment and games, this little set is a great deal. I have no idea how they'd hold up in a business setting where they were being used daily, but for my purposes as a hobbyist, they've been great. ... show more

I bought these tools so that I could open old Nintendo game cartridges when I could not get the contact strip clean enough with alcohol and a abrasive pad inserted into the slot. These work fine to allow me to open the game cartridge case and get better access to the double sided strip of contacts for cleaning purposes. The price was very reasonable and shipping was fast. I cannot comment on sturdiness and durability because I have only used them a couple of times so far. ... show more

These will open almost anything you need them too. The larger one’s magnet came out a bit and I had to push it in but other than that - it is perfect. I have opened 32 N64’s with it as well as a few game cartridges and it does the job perfectly. I am almost not someone who rushes and strips something.
