This is such a lovely piece. The rope chain is pretty substantial yet still manages to look fairly dainty. The silver has a very bright whitish hue, which I love, unlike many other silver looking pieces I’ve gotten that look gray right out of the box. So far no signs of tarnishing, but if it’s true sterling silver it should be in easy enough to polish up if it does. I can’t speak for if it is real sterling silver, but based on appearance nothing leads me to doubt that. The 14 inch one that I got feels like a real choker and fits very snuggly at the base of my neck ( I have a small neck). I would recommend larger size for anyone with average or larger neck. I’m actually glad to see this size myself, as most necklaces look too long on me. If you want to add a pendant, though, like some of the pictures imply you could, I found the clasp to be too large to fit through any of my standard sized pendants loops. This is fine by me, as the necklace stands on its own. Those that want to use it otherwise should be aware. Overall, I really like this necklace and its reasonable price. It's definitely choker length, so perfect for adding a small dainty diamond or other ornament The metal is sturdy, strong and has a rope chain design.
