    • The weights are fine, but the picture is misleading
The weights themselves are what I needed. While I like the curtain weights, I am disappointed in the picture and description of the product. It starts off saying 28 grams (which I skipped past) as I was more interested in whether or not these would rust or not. The picture shows a number of these weights (which I believed to be 28) placed in a circle, which is not completely honest. It only comes with 11 pieces and I believe this should be the first words in the description. I ordered two packages because I'm making curtains for the entire house and figured 2 packages would suffice after looking at the picture. Unfortunately, there are only 11 pieces, so I ended up with 22 pieces total, which was still not enough to complete my project. I had to order 2 more packages once they arrived to get the total amount I will need. I found the picture to be misleading and confusing and it should be more accurate of the product so others can order appropriately, also. ... show more

I purchased two packages (11 per package) of these curtain weights. The weights that I received do appear to be right at 28 grams each and all but one of them was sealed in some sort of material that can be used to stitch them in place on a curtain. 1 out of my 22 (the 1 in the photos) came without the wrapping being sealed on one side, which allowed me to have a good look at the weight. My problem is that this product listing states at least seven times that the weights are made from lead. Lead is perfect for this sort of item as it is very dense and will not rust. Lead poisoning isn't really a concern if they are sealed away and won't be making contact with skin or food/drink, etc. We have used smaller Dritz brand (real) lead curtain weights in the past, but I was hoping to find larger lead weights for this curtain because it will be used outdoors where wind is more of a factor. These weights appear to be made out of some sort of plated steel and are, unlike lead weights, picked up quite easily with a magnet. The plating is likely rust resistant, as long as it is durable. The listing claims that the weights won't rust, but if they lied about the material, I'm not sure if that claim can be trusted either. I know that they will work fine as weights, but the dishonest listing is extremely disappointing. The plan for these weights is to be used to weigh down a shade curtain on an outdoor gazebo, so they will be exposed to moisture and if they rust then it could stain the curtain. I will probably just keep them and use them for my project anyway, but buyer beware if you will be using these anyplace around magnets or really need anything truly made from lead. ... show more

They aren't heavy enough to do any good for outdoor patio curtains. They will also just slide right out of the open ends of the curtain hem. Sent them back.
