These ornaments come in halves, so there is a seam when you put them together. Although I made it work for my project, I did not like having the seam. Depending on the project you are using then for, I would be concerned that the ornament may come undone and would recommend sealing/gluing the seam.

Love DIYs, these were easy to use. Hand painted for Christmas! Did have to some trouble closing them but I think it was the paint on the lip of ball.

Once you close them, they are almost impossible to get back open! I wanted to use the bigger ones to put little goodies in for my kids but I closed one and tried to open it and it broke. But I was able to open a different one with much difficulty. So I would not recommend getting them if you would like for them to be reopened.
