The xylophone sits on top of the stand and doesn’t screw in. I ordered a metal xylophone before and it screwed into the stand and also fit the drum heads. This is just a basic stand. The xylophone is very nice and sturdy and perfect for beginners.

    • Looks good sounds bad
It's pretty but the notes do not sustain all. They sound dead. They're in tune, but they dont ring at all. The only way I can explain is it sounds like a guitar with really old strings

    • I get it's refurbished but.....

I already sent it back otherwise I would have taken pics but this was not the xylophone I was looking for. The sound of gas leaving a cadaver probably would have had more appeal. And the "bars?", There were a few that weren't the correct size. So back it went within 10mins.
