I wish I had found this a year earlier. My household includes 2 dogs and lots of fur. Fur gets everywhere, especially on the clothes, bedding, etc. that I run through the washing machine. All of that fur gets flushed down the drain in my utility sink, causing drainage issues. I tried different types of catches in the sink drain but they would clog quickly and the sink would fill with water. No more! These little mesh sleeves do an awesome job of catching fur. I was amazed how quickly the first one I used filled up! They are easy to secure to your washing machine discharge line and they are easy to replace when they get full. If you don't have the furmagetton caused by pets, you may not need this product, the mesh holes are somewhat large and might not do a very good job catching normal, every day lint, but if you have a ton of lint caused by furry critters in your home, this is an extremely useful product!

By far this should be one of the top things on your homeowners things to shop for list. If you have a washer you need to buy this lint trap great quality easy to assemble and use. Very easy to change out. They are highly durable even when full. They fit to adjust most every washer hose. They are great at holding in Lint, debris, an items that will clog up your drain. Order them because the value for the amount of product you get is great.

It took me a while to find something like this, but I knew it HAD to exist. Out of curiosity I attached a sock to the water outlet of my washer just to see how clean the water comes out. WOW! i was shocked at all the "junk" that came out. It made sense too. So I purchased these filters to do the work. These filters tie on with the enclosed zip ties, and hold all the fuzz, string, etc that comes out of the washer and into YOUR drain pipes. I do weekly washings, and one of these mesh filters lasted 2 months before getting completely packed with filth. Once done with one, just snip it off, and toss. Fantastic product that does not impair operation or water flow in any way.

I've only had it for 5 or 6 loads of wash, it seems to be working just fine. However, the quality is not as good as the one in the grocery store. I have purchased higher quality at Dollar General for $1.25 in a package of 2. They last quite a long time. Even though, there is 24 in the pack for $9.99 the screening isn't as heavy and it is not woven as tight. My thought is, I will probably be using more in a shorter period of time. Since the weave isn't as tight, I feel more lint will escape Down the drain. It does come with ties also. Adequate.
