I ordered these shelves believing they were all identical dimensions based on the dimensions listed in the item details. I completely missed the call out in the description that these are actually different depths. I found out when I opened the box and found the 3 shelves nested together inside of each other. I think they’ll still work for my purpose but I’m a little disappointed this wasn’t made more obvious - I don’t typically read full item descriptions. I was very excited to get these shelves. First, I will talk about appearance and then the installation. After the shelves were unboxed, I noticed that there were flaws in the construction and the appearance. Almost every board had visible scratches or was chipped. Some shelves had nail holes where they shouldn't be, as in protruding on areas where the air gun didn't line up the boards correctly. I wanted/needed these shelves right away so I fixed the flaws. I was able to use black paint to sponge over the chipped and scratched areas. The shelves are not in direct sunlight, so the problems aren't visible. Click on my images to see the flaws in the larger format. Installation was a whole other issue. The anchors supplied were larger than the screws that were supplied to go into the anchors. After much trial and error, we ended up having to use our own screws and anchors. Why didn't I return them? I really needed them, that's why I ordered them. I also wasn't sure that the replacement order that I received would be in better condition. Maybe this particular set of shelves skipped Quality Control? They were at a slight discount when I placed the order. I think it was 13%. The flaws were greater than 13%, in my opinion. ... show more
