This battery fits the Dyson V8 Stick Vacuum, but the run time is only 10-15 minutes. It also stops about every five minutes. At first I thought this meant that the battery was low, but I think it’s an automatic shut off…maybe to avoid overheating? The battery life indicator is also poor. It is solid green when fully charged and turns blue as soon as you start using the vacuum. Other than that, there is no way to tell how much charge is left in the battery. This battery actually has less run time than the 5.5 year old original battery that I am trying to replace. Don’t waste your money. This is not a high quality or reliable product.

I bought this replacement battery for my Dyson V8 Animal vacuum because the original one was losing power. The battery was easy to install and works better than the original one. It lasts longer and has more suction power. However, there are a couple of drawbacks that I noticed. First, there is a slight delay when you press the trigger to turn the vacuum on. It takes about a second for the vacuum to start working. You have to get used to it and press the trigger a bit earlier than usual. Second, the LED indicator is now only a solid light. It does not show the three levels of battery charge like the original one. Overall, I am satisfied with this replacement battery. It does the job well and is cheaper than buying a new vacuum. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a new battery for their Dyson V8.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, THIS IS NOT A FACTORY REPLACEMENT. When charging, this only has a single LED opposed to the factory battery which has 3-5 LEDs and will display the capacity charged. Do not purchase this battery if you want THAT specific functionality. Otherwise, this does appear to work as expected. I have not noticed stronger suction or any of that silliness mentioned in other reviews. The battery supplies what the motor will consume to perform. It does appear to last as long as the factory battery when I received the stick vacuum.
