  • Great product! Highly recommend!
Size: 5.75" x 8.25" Color: Black
My mom and I have purchased both sizes and we both love our planners. For this review though, I am going to be talking about my planner (5x8). The planner is of good enough size to write legibly in while still being a good portable size. I have a pretty full backpack I carry with me on campus so having a smaller planner is ideal. The outside of the planner is leather and sturdy. Since I carry so much with me on a daily basis, I need something that can withstand a little beating and this has held up so far. The planner is easy to use and provides a monthly calendar as well as individual spaces for each day, which is exactly what I was looking for! I am extremely detailed with plans, so having that extra space for smaller things is great. I was originally worried that I would not have enough space for all of my workouts, chores, homework, etc. in each space but I have more than enough room. It might be different for someone who has larger handwriting; my handwriting is on the smaller side. The pages themselves are thick enough that Papermate marker pens don't bleed through, so I can color code my plans and draw. This planner also comes with lots of extra stuff, like sections for personal information, contacts, and notes. There is even a small folder in the back for any papers you need to store. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my planner. The only thing that I would change is maybe having more space for the weekends. My weekends are just as busy as my weekdays, so personally, I'd like a tad more room to write in my daily activities. Other than that though, amazing planner! ... show more

  • If you need full month and week spreads, this is it!
Size: 5.75" x 8.25" Color: Black
After several years trying various paper planner types, this is the one that I've found works best for me. 2022 will be my fourth year using this planner; never before in my life have I been so consistently satisfied. Of course, everyone's planning needs are different, so here's the rundown on how I use my planner, which should help you decide whether this one will work for you. I'm a freelance writer-illustrator who is this year finishing up my first bachelor's degree. I also work part-time for my local community college as a Japanese tutor. I therefore need to plan long-term projects while still remembering appointments and meetings that occur on a daily and weekly basis. I find the monthly spreads in this planner extremely useful for setting myself up for success every month, showing me the big picture all at once. The weekly spreads then help me keep those long-term goals in mind while not forgetting everyday responsibilities and plans. Usually what I do is fill out the monthly spread on the first day of each month, then I fill out important dates in the weekly spread each Monday, and every night I fill out the next day's schedule in the weekly spread. This planner is also great because it includes a personal information section, which is helpful in case you lose your planner or during an emergency; a general contacts section, where I usually tape the business cards of new contacts; and a huge section of lined paper taking up the second half of the book. The latter feature means I don't have to keep track of a separate notebook, whether I'm in need of writing space at home or while I'm out, which always comes in handy. I'll have finished school next year, so I might not use the notes section as much this time, but I'm sure I'll still be using it for brainstorming, making shopping lists, taking notes about my work, and even just using it as scrap paper to revive drying pens or take down quick phone numbers. There are two things about this planner that have been minor but persistent negatives for me in the past, but this year they fixed one of them! There's always a sheet of sticker tabs included to mark the months if you like, but until the 2022 planner, the colors seemed wantonly chosen and not particularly harmonious. I've included a photo showing how much the color selection has been improved this time. As a professional illustrator, minor things like this really matter to me, so I'm stoked that all through 2022 I'll get to see this beautiful rainbow gradient in my planner every day! The one thing left that bothers me about this planner, which wasn't fixed this time, is the use of "Columbus Day" instead of "Indigenous Peoples Day". I know this isn't an issue to some people, but it's actually really irksome to me, and I'm sure other people understand that feeling. It's not enough of a problem to make me not buy the planner, but perhaps someone with the power to change it for 2023 will see my review and act! In summary, I absolutely love this planner and see myself using it for years to come. The paper is nice quality, it comes with two ribbon bookmarks, a pocket on the back cover, a pen loop, and a closure strap, to mention the other nice qualities that I hadn't covered above. If you need a planner that has both monthly and weekly spreads, I recommend giving this one a shot! ... show more

  • My Annual planner book for the past several years
Size: 5.75" x 8.25" Color: Black
This is an excellent style planner book for my purposes. I have used this style for several years, and chose it specifically based on the many pages in the back for notes. In those pages I put tabs for different topics of information--doctors' visits, things I want or need to buy, travel I want to do as well as travel I have done during the year, ideas for writing, ideas for gifts to buy people, movies I have seen and movies I want to see, and books I have read throughout the year. Then the months have tabs to add to the book so that I can find the monthly calendar page, and beyond that the weekly pages of daily notes. In the back of the book is a small pocket in which I keep stickers to dress up the calendar pages and to highlight holidays, birthdays, days to change the clocks, etc. The size is small enough to carry in a computer bag or travel bag, and some deep purses. I like the ribbons--one I use to find the month we are in, and one for the week we are in. The front contact section can be helpful though I tend to attach a sheet of paper in that section that has my monthly budget and bill paying record for the year so I know what I paid each month, and how much for my usual monthly bills. In the past, I printed out a blank page I found online and taped it in the back for my exercise chart of what I did when. It didn't quite work out, but a chart like that--designed for the user--is a handy thing to have in the planner. ... show more
