I purchased one of the first iPads. I think Steve Jobs might have still been alive. I LOVED THAT IPAD. I was told I was dumb because the second version would come out soon with all the crap gone and I’d wish I could get that one. WRONG! I did get the second generation and gave my blue color husband my 1st generation. It was a great way for him to learn how to use it. He still loves his iPads. It’s been a great routine and we’ve done it every since. I purchased my 12.9 iPad Pro 2021. This was my 2nd 12.9 if I remember correctly. It’s a little soon to do it again but my last iPad is giving me problems I’ve never had. After I have used my iPad long enough to get the iPad warmed up the buttons start not responding for me. Like in Amazon if I push to see a video about a product it will not show that video. I can try to start that video for an hour with no response. If I open my older iPad or one of our two iPhones the video works immediately. This happens on a very regular basis now. The iPad itself almost feels slightly bent. The iPad is so thin that this worries me. In fact when we purchased it it really did worry me so we purchased really nice and firm holders. I am so frustrated, is anyone else having my same problem? I would like to keep the system we have going. It’s to soon to get a new one, especially now that we are retired and on very fixed incomes. I will always be a die hard ipad owner. But I need one to last me longer. Any suggestions. Can iPad give me some support or credit here? Anyone that can help this old lady would be appreciated. I still think this is hands down the best tablet on the market. It would probably beat any lap top and most desk tops in my mind. This is getting bad enough I’m afraid it’s going to quit working. It’s taken care of because only I or my husband or occasionally a family adult might use it, that is rare though. Everybody knows to leave my iPad alone. One last problem. Ok, so just to give some context, I'm a professional Illustrator, I usually work with Wacom Cintiq 13 HD, but I decided to take the plunge and try the Ipad Pro with the apple pencil and Procreate, which I started using 3-4 weeks ago. The good: -The machine is very powerful, it holds several applications open at once. -The combo Ipad-Apple pencil is amazing, the pencil feels very smooth. -I love Apples already included software, like numbers or Garage Band. -The Screen (inner side)! I don't know if I'm blind or just not used to nuances, but I don't see blooming anywhere. -I love the speakers, it makes the Ipad vibrate, so if I'm drawing I can feel the vibration. Still has amazing sound. The bad: -Apple is asking for your ID all the time. Literally. -And (if you did like me and changed your ID right after the initial setup) you will have to be juggling from one ID to another in order to Update the included apps. -The Updates (I'm looking at you IOS 16) are a pain. Some programs keep crashing since this update or behaving abnormally. -Almost every app is paid, but hey, I come from Android/Windows. -I don't know if it's the new Updates but I have some issues with procreate and the graphic card (especially after updating to IOS 16. Yay.). The Meh: -Stage manager (I rather have the standard window setup). -The battery. It handles Procreate/Spotify/Reference board app open for 5 hours, so I need to charge it every day, especially if I keep drawing a lot. -The screen (outer side) 2 words: FINGERPRINTS GALORE, although humid microfiber cloth works like a charm. Overall, the machine is wonderful, but Apple is its main issue. I can use the Ipad for some productive tasks (like invoicing, emailing, record keeping, or using the calendar), but it's quite difficult to be working on Procreate for several hours (or even using Safari) when it crashes or has some weird bugs because of an update. Despite of that, I still love this machine, but I would love for them to take their users seriously since this is an expensive piece of hardware. ... show more
