I have owed a pair of Merrell hikers for 7years ( they never wear out! I was in Georgia on vacation and ordered for a hike up Mt Yonah. I didn’t have time to break them in and I know this style is more of a athletic walker… but up that mountain I went…great grip on that red Georgia slippery clay & no slipping& plenty of grip. BTW I’m 66years old and have neuropathy in one foot & very sensitive on top.. but the cushy pillowy feel💙I had no pain.. I LOVE THEM! This has been my go to hiking/walking shoe for possibly a dozen years. I stay ahead of my shoe need. Just tried them on; fits nicely; feels good walking around house too. Having just moved from a daily woods walk to asphalt/cement of Nevada desert neighborhood, the soles will shorten their life. Most shoes last a year and become yard shoes or I use them with ice grippers for winter walks. I buy shoes with sturdy soles and toes. Would buy again. ... show more

I got these because I work in landscaping. Boots aren't my thing and regular shoes slip but these are perfect. Great cushion in the heel and they have great support . Will definitely buy this brand again.

The shoe is very comfortable, but the shark color is purple. Maybe it’s just me but I was expecting more of a grey from the photo online. Seems like this online listing has been lightened quite a bit

I haven’t worn them on the trails yet I just wore them around the house to get the feel . They are comfortable they run a tad big but not enough to size down . I will wear a thicker sock anyway when I’m using them . Good hiking shoe
