In 2003 I wanted a way to make my truck look right but still be reliable...a lift wasn't going to work, so we created the leveling kit! Truxxx is the Original Leveling kit company - we started it all back in 2003...a 6" lift was too much money and not practical for 50,000 miles of driving every year...so the leveling kit was born. We make all of our own parts, we still work with our original idea of using as many OEM parts as possible to ensure reliability. Our parts are made to make sure you can go to work and get home safely, we ONLY use US/Canada steel and 8.8/10.9 hardware. In 2002 I got a new truck - the front sat so low it looked stupid. I towed a trailer and raced motocross, a 6" lift wasn't the right fit but I loved the look...suspension and OEM quality parts was something I understood...I also drove 50K a year & the truck had to be reliable as stock. It took a dumpster of "mistakes"...but it worked We manufacture our kits We create jobs: for local people, for shops that install kits, for delivery drivers. We manufacture everything we make - a typical day we will make a variety of part numbers & slip in a special request order when needed When we made the first Honda Ridgeline lift in 2005 for the 2006 model introduction (we actually used Honda's own Ridgeline, the one that went to all the Supercross/Motocross races) we learned some valuable things about how the Honda is designed, it is a design philosophy they use on all of there vehicles so with 17 + years of making Honda products, we understand how much engineering they do and we work hard to work with that engineering, to be perfectly honest, we stick to some common engineering philosophy’s and try and make it so the only time you need assistance is when you get another new Honda truck…make sense? Our kit is only 1.5″ up front – in testing, anything we made that was MORE than 1.5″ caused issues with the computer and AWD...we don't do anything in the rear because the truck simply does not need it, lifting the rear we found to have negative impact on the handling and overall drivability in just about all conditions - when we tested in less than perfect sunny smooth conditions ( in the HOT summer 105 degree sun it was great at 2″) in any kind of non perfect pavement, wet & slippery or “non SoCal/Nevada/Arizona summer weather” we had some computer issues as the AWD wasn’t happy…a simple reset fixed it, but we wanted 100% HONDA reliability in ALL conditions…so, in the same testing, we found at 1.5″ front only, we had ZERO issues…and we have many customers with over 150,000 miles already on the GEN 2’s. Our #1 priority is to make your Ridgeline look as good as this view :-} A BIG part of what we do is to make sure your truck drives like stock…so if you follow the instructions, your truck will drive like stock and perform as long as it would stock in all the same conditions.
