I always keep one original key put up in the safe so that I never use it. My current R6 key was getting very worn. So I bought 2 of these and grabbed my good key from the safe and went down to the local locksmith and had him cut both of them for me. It was no problem. The seller was prompt and the description was accurate. Only gripe I have would be the price and no stars taken away for it, they had it i needed it. This key is lighter material than my original Yamaha key (07 v star 1100) but it cut okay and works on the bike. I just wouldn't want it for a daily key. Price seemed high as well. None the less, I am happy to have a spare now.
