✈️This is a pre-travel review, since I don’t have any travel coming up right away. I will definitely update this review this after I travel if I run into any issues. But I was really curious about this non-zipper suitcase, so I couldn’t resist ordering it – and I admit it is pretty neat and the latching mechanism was much better than I anticipated. As a bonus, it comes with a plastic vinyl cover – it just slides over the bag but doesn’t attach with a strap underneath, so you can’t travel with it on, but it is nice for keeping it in good shape when storing the suitcase. ✈️First, just a couple things were not as expected based on the seller’s description. One is that the suitcase I received only has a single external USB-A port on the outside, when it was supposed to also have a USB-c port, so that was a little disappointing as I really needed the USB-c option. I also want to mention that the cord built in to attach to a portable power bank is inside the lining of the suitcase (unzip the liner) but there isn’t a holder so it just flops or hangs around under the liner which might be an issue if it is a heavy battery and the bag is upright. A slot or a Velcro strap to keep it in place and from pulling on the cord would have been nice. Secondly, there are 2 actual hard handles that are on a spring system so when you let go, they snap back into place flat against the case. These work great, however, they are described as being “silent” and they are most definitely not. If you let go of these, they make a loud snap/thwack sound. Not really a problem, but something worth noting if you are in a quiet area and not expecting the loud sound. ✈️The locking mechanism is quite interesting and much more secure than I thought it would be. There are two clasps that snap solidly into place. To open them, you squeeze the sides of each tab separately – so this decreased the risk of “accidental” opening. Also, each of the tabs separately has a TSA code lock – again you can either set a code for extra security or just rotate one of the numbers on each to lock the bag and prevent the clips from accidentally opening. So, I was really impressed with this, and they work much better than I was thinking they would. There isn’t any extra expansion on this luggage, but I don’t have to worry about a zipper popping open under strain. So, I am very happy with the closure mechanism. NOTE: I did order the carry-on size and have no issues with it. I will say that in the seller’s pictures all of the bags have the exact same measurements, but the chart is accurate where the photos aren’t. ✈️Overall, I am happy with the quality of the luggage. It is sturdy, the handle opens and closes smoothly with various adjustable heights, and the wheels roll like butter. The case is very stable when standing and I like how wide it is (plenty of room for my feet to rest up on as a makeshift ottoman when waiting in uncomfortable airport chairs). It also has several well-thought-out features like 2 hooks for bags, a functional cup holder (will hold a cup, not a large water bottle; a little flimsy but solid enough to hold a heavy glass of water so it should do fine with a travel cup or paper cup), and a phone rest on the handle so you can watch shows on your phone while waiting and your hands remain free to eat with or just relax, and two zippered compartments (one mesh, one waterproof) on the internal divider. ✈️Finally, the overall aesthetic of the bag is very handsome. It has rivets along the length of the center that almost give it an old, classic, trunk appearance. The corners appear to be reinforced with metal rather than plastic, so this should help with durability. Other than the small differences noted above, I am happy with this luggage piece and definitely plan to use it when I travel.

This carry on bag surprised me with how nice it was for the price. Luggage is always SO EXPENSIVE and some of it just doesn't hold up. While there are definitely nicer bags out there, this one seems like a great deal and should hold up longer than a lot of other options in its price range. The built in locks are easy to set up and adjust. Lots of zippers and compartments. I will say that the zipper inside that you need to use to set up the external USB port completely popped off the first time I tried to unzip it. I think I can get it to go back on, but it's the only zipper that gave me any kind of trouble...and honestly I don't plan on using that USB port anyway, I just wanted to check it out, so to me no harm no foul. There is plenty of space in this for a weekend or short week trip if you aren't taking a ton of bulky items. Nice pockets on the divider give you great organization options. I love the little additions to the outside as well. Having a cup holder on your wheeled carry-on is an amazing idea. Also love the shopping bag hooks so you can keep your hands free as you go without having to fully open the case and store things away if you're doing some airport shopping. It's sturdy, has plenty of space, and has ton of great convenience options, all for a "reasonable" price for a piece of luggage. Not sure what more you could ask for!
