We have a Costzon ATV that I put 20v power tool batteries in which made the atv twice as fast but was still only maybe 4-5 mph. We have a Peg Perego atv that I out power tool batteries in which does burnouts and donuts and drifts so I wanted the Costzon to be able to keep up. With these motors and gearboxes the Costzon will go as fast as the Peg but it still doesn't do burnouts or drifts. I beleive that is from the circuit board in the Costzon but with these motors it is as fast as the Peg so it's a huge upgrade and win.

So my kids stripped a gear in one of their Costzon ride on's so I hopped on Amazon to see what options were available. The stock motors are 9000 RPM 12V and these are 40,000 RPM 12V. That's right FOURTY THOUSAND RPM. It seems these motors pretty much fit all the ride ons, and these are no different. There are some small screw tabs on these that need to be cut off to complete the install on our ATV, but this was easy with some diagonal cutters. The wire connectors are not permanently plugged in and can be switched to reverse the motors. Once I found the appropriate polarity, I soldered the wires so I don't need to think about these connections again. I slapped on the axle and the wheels and let my kid take it for a test drive. Well... It's faster. A LOT FASTER. Previously the ATV went 4MPH and maybe a little faster down hill. Now I paced it with my full-size ATV and clocked it at 9MPH and 11MPH downhill. I can't say how long these gearboxes will last, but so far so good. It does seem to go through the battery a little quicker, but I installed 9AH batteries this spring so it's not too noticeable. This is the budget equivalent to upgrading to the 24V setup that I just don't have time to finagle with right now.

lost some low end torque, but gained top speed. Issue now is when starting on a slight incline the jeep cut out & Needs a little shove to get going Made about a 2 mph difference in my daughters right choice Jeep with a Milwaukee M18 conversion

These are good quality. I removed the gears and replaced the worn gears in mine because the motor specs were different. So I took them apart, they are made well. These are exactly what you expect them to be.

Put these on my son’s car since he stripped the ones it came with, it took awhile for those to strip. These ones stripped in 15 minutes after the first use 😢
