The seal is not a normal rubber material, it's plastic like and doesn't make a good seal. One of the two does work, the other one does not. New out of the package the screw stem is stuck in the down position and activated the core faster that a regular hose. The threads for both seem to be a little off causing them to be difficult to get started. I would use the money to buy one quality core tool and save up for another if money was the reason for wanting this particular set. They just feel flimsy and poorly machined. I'm buying a different one now and these will likely end up in the scrap bucket because I wouldn't give to any one for refrigeration, maybe if your goal was to air down tires quickly. When i went to use it did not depress the core i even tried it on 3 diffrent T's i had and i couldnt even depress the cores they had on them either couldn't even blow air out of the T's it was as if it couldnt reach the schrader core to push it down even a little

These are well built regular low loss adapters with normal 1/4 SAE threads. There is NO left handed (reverse) thread on these. You can see in the picture the female end of one adapter connected to the male and of other adapter because they are same thread not reversed. It will not work for A2L as claimed but is good for R22. ... show more
