Length of the spike going into the ground could be longer. Being 12 to 14 feet up in the air is difficult to control with just 18 inches in the ground. hi actually hammered mine into the ground to wear the extensions for the flag attach and it gave it more support. Having done that I went back and viewed it I noticed it was twisted so I could only imagine if I didn’t have that in the ground that deep. By doing such it lowers the flag all the way to the ground in which case may make it difficult to read. Another suggestion would be to make the diameterOf the spike bigger four more holding power. I ordered this flag set to display some 12 foot Fireworks Flags for a fundraiser. First the positive; The ground spike is pretty sturdy. It sticks into the ground and it stays put. The carrying case is convenient. Now, onto what I did not like. The poles are thin and not very sturdy. We had 8 mph winds over the 4th of July weekend and the poles bent under the weight of the wind and pretty light banners. The hook didn't really work. I suppose it would work if there was another section of pole, but the flag was only a few inches off the ground which made the loop on one flag not really work, and the elastic on another type of flag, difficult to put on. The flags flew and I was able to make some corrections for the weekend, but the product just did not work for me. I will say, that I may have gotten a defective product, but other reviewers seemed to have had similar concerns and problems. I cannot recommend the product based on my experiences. ... show more

The carry bag had a hole through one side. Then one of the internal dividers had a hole through it. Do like the way the sections snap together. No way to secure the assembled flag pole to the ground spike. The ground spike does have a hole but there is now matching hole on pole. Metal also seems a bit thin.     • Ground Mounting Pole Bent
The product held up for about 9 months. Then during a windy day the ground mounting stake and the bottom pole bent in the wind. Bent it back in place still not the same after that. Top pole on one set would never fit right and became stuck on a cold day.

These were great and stayed in the ground but the bottom pole was super wobbly in the ground stake. A little annoying if there’s wind, it just spins the flag… overall it’s good!
