The pockets were nice and deep on these sheets. They fit the bed easily and stayed put once they were on the bed. Laundering was a breeze and the sheets were comfortable for sleeping. They probably will not wear as long as a higher thread count (I bought 600 thread count sheets) but my husband feels they are way more comfortable than higher thread counts. Didn’t notice the hole until washed and on the bed. Fit is good. Our mattress is 12” and the sheet hugs it well. I would think 16” would be pushing it. Not as soft as I thought.
