i ordered these to shoot some wall hangings for a project. they were bright enough for my purpose and proved a simple solution. they would likely work very well as fill in conjunction with a regular studio setup or outdoor photography (assuming you have a power source). the plugs do get hot and they will occasionally shot off, but i did not need them for lengthy periods of time. cheap, light-weight and functional enough for me. ... show more

They are so light they fall over easily at the slightest bump. and they get in the way if you are moving around much.cords hanging down are a trip hazard. I tripped on a cord & it came apart at the USB port and the light no longer works because it is nnot a usb at each end. so it's just broken and I can't use it. ... show more

The lights work perfectly and can run off of those portable battery packs you can buy at Walmart. Depending on the light setting and the battery size, we've gotten 25 minutes of use per battery on average. The stands are sturdy and work just like camera stands for iPhones and action cameras.
