Very bright. Considering these for my kayak when I am fishing after dark so I can find my way back to where I launched. Tested on a LiFePo battery and it lasted a long time and stayed extremely bright the entire time.

A spot light, for longer range but less light to the sides? Or a flood light, which lights up the short range and the sides less so for the longer range? This one does both! One big aspect to keep in mind is that these are designed with zero focus in mind and are NOT SUITABLE as driving lights or fog lights – they are strictly work lights or for off-road usage. The mounting brackets are full aluminum, not just bent sheet metal, which is a plus when it comes to more professional looking installation. The brackets can allow for horizontal (rear) or vertically (top or bottom) mounting, with its slots offering rotational adjustment in the upwards or downwards direction. The captive mounting nuts on the back of the light allow for adjustments from side-to-side.. These lights are designed for either 12 or 24 volt systems, which suggests a proper LED driver -- which is good. When considering LED lights, ones that have a much more limited voltage range (like 10-14V only) or no range at all (12V only, 24V only, etc.) suggests they are simply using current limiting resistors, which doesn’t lend itself to longevity as the chance to overpower the LEDs definitely exists. That said, wired through my volt/ammeter that’s powered by a tool battery, I got 19.5V and 0.60 amps, which equals 11.7 watts – nowhere near the 60 watts claimed.
