The product is made with good quality materials. Don't expect to use this grabber for anything other than light to medium duty tasks. The jaws on these RMS grabbers open wide enough to grab many medium to small sized cans and bottles. The jaws have soft tapered lining that allows you to pick up very small items even when they are laying flat on the floor (i.e. picking up a dime laying flat on the floor). You will need to experiment by picking up various size and weight items like canned and bottled goods to determine the limits of what you can safely lift or remove from shelves. Finding out that bottle of salsa was too heavy an item as it hits the floor and shatters is counterproductive. With all this said the grabber is a very handy tool for in, around and outside the house. I use mine multiple times every day and it saves a lot of bending and stretching to pick up or get down overhead items. Multiple shoulder injuries have left me with painful arthritis in both shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. These grabbers save me time, energy and unnecessary pain while performing every day tasks. They are well worth the cost.

This grabber is fantastic & the very best of the best that we've ever owned....hands down ! It is very lightweight which makes it easy to handle. The swivel head is a great feature & the gripping design is excellent. We haven't had the need to pick up a "dime" yet 😊 but it truly does have the capability of picking up small, medium or larger items with the strong jaws, squeeze trigger & plenty of reaching capability as well. I chose this one because it is lightweight and yellow ends are very visible. Will use after surgery - cannot reach too far or bend over too much. I also chose this one because others complained that a competing foldable reacher tends to bend/break at the junction. The aluminum shaft on this one seems sturdy. I don't know how durable the claws are long term since I'm concerned about the inside cable. It hasn't stretched that I can tell and it is relatively easy to rotate the end 90 degrees. Review asks about 'suction power'. The ends are soft enough but I would never say it had 'suction power'. It can pick up some basic small items.

I bought these to have in the house if needed, after trying it at a friends house. They work well and you don't have to bend over to get things off the floor. Easy to use and lightweight. You might have to work a little more on picking up very small things off the floor and I've gotten it to work all the time!!

They come in twos, they are sleek, lightweight and sturdy. The claw pivots, giving some flexibility. I pick up a variety of things around the house--leaves from potted plants, paper scraps and the occasional can. Nice tool for people my age. Mechanism is smooth and wire seems sturdy. Everything mechanical wears and eventually breaks, especially plastic parts, so time will tell--I have two other grabbers in the garage, and they are 4 years old, and doing great. I like the metallic, yellow and black design, but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Good purchase, will save knees and back some wear and tear...

I had to buy these due to having a spinal fusion that for the near term, makes it difficult to bend over/down. Mostly I use them for picking things up off the floor, doing laundry, picking up small dog food and water dishes and the like. They have been excellent for waist-down use and I have no doubt they would be equally good for reaching above. Many of the grabbers fold for storage or other reasons. I'm glad these don't since in my opinion that just gives another point for equipment failure. The handle is comfortable and I have squeezed it pretty hard with no issues. These typically fail due to the wire itself breaking, or the spot where the wire connects to the handle breaking. These have a much thicker wire and seem to be connected to the handle a little stronger. The grabber part is rubberized and grooved to resist slippage and the ends come together nicely so you can grab small or thin items. I don't think I'd be comfortable using them on say filled quart size canning jars, but for most things they're quite adequate.
