I've been using a similar competitive brand but these are proving ( just ordered my 3rd box) just as good and more affordable. Pluses: They use a more commonly available T-30 driver (included) instead of a proprietary star bit. I found that an advantage as well. No issues with breaking or cam-out. The use a cut tip design rather than a burr tip. (Again, more to my liking). Minuses: the heads are blank, that is, no marking as to length. That isn't important to me, but in some building code situations it could be. Suggestion: didn't see one offered, but a flat bottom (forstner) bit the matching diameter of the head for countersinking in hardwood would be desirable. Also, I'd love a matching headsize but 1-3/8" length. ... show more

This size screw was difficult to find at any of our hardware stores so I was thrilled when I found it here. However, when I received them, I wasn't as thrilled because as you can see in my photos, they do not have the same head as offered in the ad. This lays on top of the plank (table top) rather than a regular flat head screw ( pictured in the listing) that I was hoping to countersink.
