I’ve been using a similar soil with pine bark. For some reason it’s been rising to the top of my pots and disintegrating into a wet blackish soil. 3 of my plants died of rot and 2 of them had the bark attached to their stems. This is a nice size and I liked the reclosable bag.

I used this as a topper on some of my succulents. It looks really good in all the ones I've used it on so far. As you can see from my pics it has to be rinsed multiple times because it arrives dirty which is to be expected. Once throughly cleaned it is very nice & worked out perfectly for my use. It doesn't take much in small succulent pots so I'm sure the bag will last me a good while. Although the most expensive topper I've purchased it was well worth the cost & effort in cleaning it because of the colors & overall look in the end. There are much cheaper options (poultry grit for one) that can be used as an amendment in soil so I would not purchase at this price point for that purpose but as a topper I'm very satisfied & would recommend. ... show more
