There are plenty of 10" options out there, but a lot of them tease the right effect if you need a decent amount of light to pull it off. Especially if you want everything else around your subject to be in low-light. This one makes for a good solution to do it right and an entry-level option (affordable). This one is also good if you are using DSLR in the center since that kind of setup needs more space for the camera. This way the camera can properly be placed within the right or near it without any complications. However, we do recommend using another tripod for the DSLR as the plastic hinges on the light might not support the weight of a full DSLR camera (they barely support the light which is something to keep an eye on and we might update on later). On the smartphone side of things, there are a few mounts and adapters that this comes with can come in handy. You get a single smartphone/tablet option, as well as a ball/join option with camera/mount threads. It would be nice to have a bit of a smoother transition to the knobs in the back vs the clicky click, keep on spinning experience. However, it gets the job done and blends in well for the price.     • Bright light, kind of hard to control the colors - Update (Broken part)
I bought this as an extra light for video production and I was especially interested in the RGB functions. Overall, this is a decent light. It's pretty bright and the size is great if you want to shoot through the ring with a larger camera. It came with a nicer remote control than I expected too. Loses a star because it is very hard to get the RGB colors right, and it seems limited to just a handful of colors that you can't finely control. I guess I should have expected that at this price, but I'm still disappointed about that. It also comes with a very cheap tripod stand and I'm concerned how well it is going to hold up. EDIT - The stand didn't hold up at all. Garbage. One of the legs got floppy about the 5th or 6th time I set it up. Figured if I was careful it would be ok for a shoot. Nope. A little bump and the whole thing came crashing down and broke the mounting point on the light where it attaches to the stand. (Another poorly made part that I was concerned about from the start). ... show more

The product works right out of the box. The 19" ring is much bigger and better than the 10" rings other companies are selling. The remote it easy to use and once you set the color and brightness, you can turn on/off the ring, as well as, make adjustments to all features without going back and forth to the ring. I have used it on Zoom meetings and people have asked if I am in a studio. Shhh, our secret. There is also a bag included that holds all the the pieces of the kit. I got tired of buying things at the home repair store for my studio. I finally invested in this ring light, I'm glad I got one of the bigger ones. This light makes me feel like a star! I love all the different color effects, when not filming it really puts me in the mood to be creative. The remote control is definitely an added bonus, I like all the functions including changing the color and the brightness. They also didn't cut corners and it includes multiple attachments and the stand feels solid. It includes a carrying case, and when things get better I can't wait to use this on the road. This ring light has been exactly what I was looking for. I have it set up on my desk behind my monitor and it provides just the light that I need for my work Zoom calls. Other ring lights I tried all had controls directly on the unit, or on a cable, forcing me to awkwardly reach over my computer to turn them on and off or adjust brightness or white tone, but this ring light comes with all of that controlled by a separate remote control.     • Beautiful but didn’t work
Very upset this item looked beautiful and was made nice however my daughter and I turned it on wow beautiful light but then suddenly it went out and didn’t work. I am happy with amazon as they immediately went through steps to re check it and now are quickly processing a return

Can't tell much. Was not fast delivery and Light did not work right out of the box. I had to wait for this light and how discouraging that it won't even turn on.
