I only took one star off because I have dark brown hair which is only one color at the moment (I haven't dyed it in forever), and I have very few fine pieces of highlights throughout my hair (only seen in sunlight) that are maybe red tinted. But mostly dark brown. When I received the hair piece ( ordered dark brown), it had many highlights throughout (beautiful but not a match) that were a lighter shade of brown with a little red mixed in. It was noticeably a different color than the rest of my head. Maybe I underestimated how dark my hair really was, but anyway, I ended up buying $5 hair dye in brown/black color and dyed it. Turned out to be a 95% match to my hair and you wouldn't notice a difference unless you studied really hard. Looks great! figured it was better than having to return. The hair itself is very soft. Yes, it tangles, but you just need to brush it. I have no doubts that it's real hair, it definitely is, especially since I was able to be dyed darker. If you're unsure to get dark brown or black just get the dark brown because at least you can dye it darker. Yes, it was a pain to dye it because it took forever to get the dye out once I had to rinse out the dye. Worth it though. The one other thing i didn't like was that after I washed out the dye and dried it, there were a ton of fly aways. I'm thinking I can cut these, but I'm not sure if that's expected after tugging and brushing the hair a lot just so I can get that dye out. I'm thinking it's best to not wash this piece if at all possible, because it will tug out the hair and also leave a lot of fly aways. I tried adding frizz hair serum but that helped just a little. I'll have to cut them away. But it's not that noticeable from afar. Overall good buy, I just wish it was one color and didn't have those subtle highlights, then i wouldn't have had to go through the trouble of dying it and affecting the integrity of the hair piece. Also, I think it blends pretty well and maybe I'm not used to doing my hair or using a hair piece, but it was a little akward at first to wrap it around my pony tail (I already have pretty thick hair) but I'm starting to ge tthe hang of it. Now I want to buy more pieces so I can have a full head of hair extensions!! ... show more

I have always been a pretty Hesitant about ordering things like extensions or hair online but to my surprise it was packaged poorly but it definitely looked and feels good I’ve been wearing it for a month now and starting to dry a little bit but nothing I can’t handle definitely worse getting maybe not for with shipping coming to you about a little under 100 bucks I’d say this would be more value that like 50 $60 but either way it was a good investment and I’m glad I wasn’t totally disappointed ... show more

I’ve literally bought about 4 pairs (8pc) of these ponytails and every time they’ve been totally consistent, thick, and easy to dye! Actually maybe even a little too thick. I thinned mine out a bit after this photo because I felt it looked a little bulky. I custom color them using cheap adore’ dye - turns out great. They’ve been blow dried and flat ironed no problem. Looks best if you dye the top of them the same as your natural hair color. You can do all kinds of bright and fun colors while still matching. They totally solved the issue of trying to make wigs look good in 2 ponytails ( they don’t ). ... show more

I like that this hair peice has NO shedding at all! I am a hairdresser for 30 years and I have to say this hair is absolutely stunning. I have colored it to match my hair. I will be ordering another peice. The only thing is I wish you could by it longer!!

Update: So I’ve worn it almost every day & I actually love this. It still sheds like crazy, but I washed it with redken and straightened it & it’s soft! It’s just not soft in its natural state. The brown strands I was talking about, does melt when you straighten it. But overall, I do like it. What I like about this product is that it’s full from top to bottom. When I took it out of the packaging, it was very sleek. There was no nasty smell, it smelled like hair. What I dislike about the hair is that it sheds A LOT. It honestly sheds more than any hair extensions, wigs etc. that I’ve ever owned. It’s really full, so I don’t think that’s going to be an issue with it thinning for a while. This is normal, but the ends tone quickly unlike the rest of the hair. This hair was very very orange when I took it out of the packaging. Like a level 8. 613 hair is usually a level 9. There is a bunch of brown strands throughout the hair, from my experience it’s synthetic strands. After you wash it, the ‘sleek and shine’ goes away. Would I recommend this product? Wish the hair was a tad thicker. But worked well for this low cost hair extension. I purchased the 613 and then dyed it to match my latest hair color. I have zero difficulty keeping it in my hair. I use flat rubberbands similar to the rubber bands one gets from the produce dept your veggies are wrapped in. Strong flat rubberband. I take the hair clip part and slide that down under the rubberband. Proceed to wrap. I used only 1 bobby pin to secure the wrap. Stayed all day. In fact wasn’t so easy to get out of my hair so that to me is a good thing. Don’t compare this to hair you receive that cost 150.00 for a ponytail. But this works really well for the price. I have had far worse. Would I purchase it again. Yes because I dye them as I am forever changing my hair colors. Length for a low pony tail was at the lower part of my waist. Wish now they make them with more grams of hair to choose from. Have not tried curling it yet. Did use a straighter on it after it dried from my dying job. It dyed perfectly, didn’t tangle, took curling and wanding beautifully. I used leave-in conditioner and heat protectant. I know it will last a while. Great buy!
