The canvases are very white. The surface is rough, with the raised fibers of the canvas. The boards take up less room than stretched canvases on the wooden frames. Installation/setup:Use to create original artworks. Final thoughts: These do not last as long as a mounted canvas on the wooden frames, yet they can last as long as several decades if cared for properly. I have been using this type of media for years. They should be protected from moisture and stored flat when dry or mounted and framed. They can bend and can stay bent if stood on its side. I like these and I’m glad I got them. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend. ... show more

I am excited to play on these in ways I don't play on real stretched canvas. They are delightfully inexpensive and I will be using them to test some techniques, but they would be nice for teaching, paint parties, etc.

    • Great for group project.
These are great for group project. They are rigid enough that you can work in a variety of positions. We like to have blind paints. One person describes what they are painting (movements, colors, shapes) and the others create the instructions that they hear. The end of the project we reveal what we all created. Since these are rigid we are able to easily position ourselves away from each other and work with out influence. A lot of fun for everybody, ... show more
