  • Exactly what was needed!

Perfect for what I need. Bag is sturdy and will help keep my small supply of tools organized.

  • My Husband Stopped Leaving Tools on the Kitchen Counter and This Bag Deserves the Credit
I got this for my husband ostensibly as a Father's Day gift but genuinely as an act of self-preservation because the man had developed a system of leaving tools on every horizontal surface in the house and calling it organized. The 22-pocket tool bag has since replaced that system entirely and I cannot overstate the improvement to our domestic situation. The 22 pockets are the headline and they earn it — dedicated slots for screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and everything else that previously lived in a pile on my counter now has an assigned home that my husband has actually been using. The organization is intuitive enough that things go back where they came from rather than just getting shoved into whatever space is available, which for a tool storage solution is the entire point and not always the reality. The 16-inch size hits the practical sweet spot — large enough to hold a genuine working collection of tools without becoming a bag that requires its own transportation plan, compact enough to carry to a job site or haul out to the garage without a production. The handles are sturdy and comfortable under actual weight, which matters when the bag is fully loaded with metal tools that have opinions about gravity. Heavy duty construction is accurate — the material feels built for real use rather than the occasional light home repair. Reinforced stitching at the stress points, solid zipper, base that sits flat and stable rather than flopping around. This is a working tool bag that will hold up to being treated like one. The soft tote format over a rigid toolbox means it fits into awkward spaces, travels in truck beds without sliding issues, and doesn't add unnecessary weight before you've put anything in it. Makes a genuinely excellent Father's Day gift for anyone who works with their hands — practical enough to use immediately, substantial enough to feel considered rather than obligatory. Minor note: tools not included, which is obvious but worth confirming for anyone hoping for a complete solution out of the box. **Bottom line:** Serious organization, serious construction, serious improvement to household tool management — a gift that solved a problem I didn't know how to solve diplomatically. ... show more

  • Sturdy. It gets the job done well! Sturdy. It gets the job done well!
I bought this to organize my hitch parts in the back of my truck. I’m very impressed with this tool bag and feel it offers a great combination of durability, storage capacity, and organization. The heavy-duty fabric feels tough and resistant to wear, while the reinforced stitching, strong handles, and large zipper give me confidence that it can handle regular use and heavy tools. Despite its rugged construction, the bag remains relatively lightweight and easy to carry. What I like most is the amount of storage it provides. The spacious interior easily accommodates larger tools like drills, sanders, and hammers, while the numerous interior and exterior pockets help keep smaller items organized and within easy reach. The wide-opening design makes it simple to find what I need, and the rubber feet on the bottom help protect the bag while keeping it stable on different surfaces. The rubber feet keep it from sliding around the under seat storage in my truck. The bag includes both padded carry handles and an adjustable shoulder strap, making it comfortable to transport. The shoulder strap attaches diagonally, which is a little unusual, but it seems to help balance the load and works well with the large zippered opening. While a few design choices may not suit everyone—such as some pockets lacking closures and the zipper slightly reducing interior space when fully closed—the overall quality, storage options, and versatility outweigh those minor drawbacks. For my needs, whether for home projects or more demanding work, this bag provides excellent organization, plenty of room, and a sturdy ... show more

  • Lots of organizational space and just the right size for most all your needs.
When i saw this bag was available I grabbed it up. Unfortunately its about two years late. I have been remodeling my downstairs for over 2 years. I am old and slow but get it done. I was constantly misplacing my tools. I tried using my tool belt but it got to heavy. I had designated areas for leaving my tools didn't work. I was constantly rebuying small tools I couldn't find. I tried my wife's aluminum disposable trays for storage in different areas of the house. Still stuff just seemed to disappear. I have metal tool boxes, mechanics roller boxes and usually (now that my children are grown and gone) everything was in place. This bag has pockets inside and out for all the little bit drivers, pencils, wrenches and anything small that can be easily misplaced. It can also hold full size 18v Makita drill and oscillating saw with blades. The construction is heavy canvas with a sturdy nylon zipper. It also has a shoulder strap . So if you need to go up a ladder both hands can be free. I made literally hundreds of unnecessary trips up and down small and tall ladders because I didn't have the tool I needed. It's not huge but will keep all the smaller stuff organized and accessible. I would recommend this tool bag for any DIYers. ... show more

  • Great tool bag, better than most brands out there Great tool bag, better than most brands out there
I'm always looking to add a tool bag to my collection as I do a lot of housing remodeling for work. So you can never have too many tool bags or boxes to keep all of your tools separate. So when I saw this I knew I needed to see how this bag would do. First off this bag is made with great quality in mind. I would put this tool bag up there with many name brands that you would get at a big box store. It's about the perfect size and has a lot of storage so you're able to put many different tools and types of tools in it. I decided to use this for my electrical tools and this thing fits all of my tools with a lot of space left over for when I get more down the road. I really like the blue color of this bag but it's nice that if you don't they have many different colors. Overall this is a great quality tool bag and a great value for your money for what your getting compared to others out there. ... show more

  • Great Doctor-Bag Style Flex! Tons of Pockets, But Needs Bulk to Stay Wide Open Great Doctor-Bag Style Flex! Tons of Pockets, But Needs Bulk to Stay Wide Open
This 16-Inch Heavy Duty Tool Bag is a highly durable and incredibly spacious organizer, though buyers should note its exact structural style. It is a true soft tote rather than a rigid, hard-walled box, which offers great flexibility but affects how it sits when empty. When sitting on a workbench or the floor, this bag behaves like a traditional doctor's or medicine bag—the soft sides naturally fold and pinch inward at the top unless you have it fully packed out with larger, bulkier tools (like a cordless drill, impact wrench, or large tool cases) to stretch the frame out. If you prefer a bag with completely rigid, stiff walls that stay wide open like an open bucket all the time, this might not be your style. However, the soft-sided flex makes it much more comfortable to carry against your hip and allows it to squeeze into tight storage spaces behind a truck seat when not fully loaded. The pocket organization on this tote is phenomenal. With 22 total pockets split between the inside and outside, it is incredibly easy to keep hand tools like pliers, screwdrivers, and wire cutters neatly separated and within arm's reach. You don't have to deal with a jumbled, clanking mess at the bottom of a metal box, which saves your gear from unnecessary wear and scratch damage. The heavy-duty black fabric is exceptionally tough, handles dirt and grease well, and features rugged stitching that holds up great to sharp tool edges. The padded carrying handles are strong, secure, and comfortable in the hand even when the bag is loaded down with a heavy assortment of wrenches and gear. This is an excellent, portable soft tote for mechanics, electricians, or anyone looking for mobile truck organization. Just keep in mind that it has that classic, flexible soft-top fold when it’s sitting, but the storage capacity and rugged material make it an incredible value for the price! ... show more

  • Exceptional quality at this price! Exceptional quality at this price!
I'm very pleasantly surprised and ecstatic with this tool bag. The material is what first struck me - thick and very sturdy. Not flimsy at all. This won't tear with a casual puncture or sharp corner. The bag itself is quite lightweight and my husband loves how much stuff he can shove in it. The flexible "soft sided" shape makes it easy to hold oddly shaped items such as drills, rolls of tape, sanders etc. It seems every time I see my husband with it, he's got it filled to the brim with a different assortment of tools. There are so many pockets for the little things, and while my husband doesn't seem to close it up, there is a very heavy duty zipper on top (kind of a doctor-bag closure that comes to a point). It comes with a shoulder strap but hubby carries this around by the padded handle. He says it's so much more useful than a hart-sided toolbox, and lighter. The bottom has little rubber feet that it sits on so it won't slide off a sloped surface. This is a steal at this price, highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Sturdy tool bag, conflicted about its utility and price Sturdy tool bag, conflicted about its utility and price
I'm a little conflicted about this tool bag. It's stoutly, and well made. It's pretty featureful, too, but I'm not sure that the features are necessarily useful, nor am I convinced that it's good value. I suppose that it depends on how you would use it. I've been on the lookout for some sort of tool bag for a while. I don't have a specific set of tools that I always cart around, because each job seems to require a different set of tools, but there are always way too many to carry just in one's hands. Usually, I just use an old 5 gallon paint bucket. This has the advantage of being capacious, and pretty much indestructible. However, the clear disadvantages from my perspective are that: a) It's too deep and small tools (e.g., screwdrivers) get buried at the bottom under larger tools (e.g., drills), and b) It's also so tall that I can't get it under heating ducts when I'm crawling around in a crawlspace. I have to lay the bucket down on its side, and that makes it prone to spilling tools and getting full of crud as I drag it along the ground by its handle. So, getting some sort of tool holder that's shallower, but with similar capacity and sturdiness to a paint bucket would be ideal, and this tool bag looked like it might be a contender. It comes folded flat(ish) and zip-tied up in a neat bundle (Pic 1). It looks smart, and is made of a sturdy sort of Cordura type of fabric, which can be seen in Pic 2. Inside, it does indeed measure out at about the claimed 16" (Pic 3), and there's a pocket on the inside at each end, and a row of three pockets along one side. These pockets are about 4" deep, and have no form of closure. On the side with pockets there is also a run of elastic about an inch down from the top of the pockets. Pic 4 shows the same view, though taken from the other side, and with an angle grinder (without battery) in place to give a sense of scale. Looking at the outside, we find pockets at each end (Pic 6). These also have a webbing strap running across them through which you can loop/tie things. There are three pockets on each side (Pic 2), the centre pocket of which has a Velcro flap by way of a closure. Also visible in Pic 2 is a metal bracket, apparently intended to hold a tape measure - not sure that I would trust it. Pic 7 shows the bottom, which has five sturdy, plastic feet. These feet will presumably protect the bottom a bit, but the bottom is flexible, so be prepared for it to get scuffed up quickly, and possibly torn, if you drag it over (say) construction debris. There's also a shoulder strap, which hooks diagonally across the zip closure at the top, and which is shown in Pic 8, and in action in Pics 9 and 10. With the top zip closed, you can use the central carry handles, which also are held together with Velcro (Pic 11). The bag itself weighs about 2.7lbs (Pic 12), which is, I suppose consistent with its sturdiness, but a significant increment on the weight of the tools you'll be lugging around (and more than a paint bucket). So, this tool bag is full of features, but are they useful? I'm not convinced of their utility as they stand. For example: * The inside pockets have no closures. This means that you can't use them for loose screws, nails or other small items, since they'll fall out the first time the bag ends up on its side. * The zip at the top works, but is difficult to operate, since the end points for the shoulder strap get in the way. Equally, with the strap going diagonally across the bag, it tends to close the bag when it's hanging by the shoulder strap, making it harder to get tools out. * When the zip is closed, it pulls in the sides of the bag significantly, reducing the available volume in the bag substantially. A zip-up flap across the top wouldn't have had this problem. I'm also not convinced of the value. In Pic 13 you can see this bag on the left side-by-side with another bag. The one on the right has fewer pockets, but I'm not sure that that's a problem. It has a similar capacity, is much lighter, and came free (in this case with an angle grinder - not the one shown in Pic 4). As I said at the top, perhaps this bag will be excellent for some people with a very specific usage pattern, which is entirely unlike mine. If you always have a standard set of tools, and they are of a size that you aren't concerned that they'll fall out of the outside pockets, then perhaps this is the bag for you. It is, after all, well made, and featureful (as long as you like the features). I'm going to keep trying it, but I'm not sure that it'll displace my paint bucket. ... show more
