Don't think you can put books on this, you can't. Good for one pair of shoes per cube, or to store neatly folded shirts, but nothing heavier than that. The clear plastic is strong, but not THAT strong. Make sure to use the tools provided, because it makes the assembly a lot easier. Follow the instructions diligently, if the instructions aren't there for some reason, use common sense to put it together, because it isn't rocket science... it is extremely easy, just minimal effort and intelligence, and you got yourself a storage system. I needed some quick storage and didn't want to commit to buying the real cube shelves. These are lightweight and pretty easy to assemble. It comes with a useless wooden mallet that I did not use at all. And it looks little wonky until you press it all together. Then it looks fine. We purchased this shelf for Lego storage. It was very easy to assemble. Definitely not a super sturdy shelf. It's good for our purpose, to store some Legos, but I wouldn't put anything heavier on it. But I am happy for the money.

These cubes really are a pain to put together. One lose connection and you cant keep on building them because the cubes dont align right. It’s pretty small but you get what you’re paying for, it’s super useful for my apartment bedroom for extra storage aside from my main dresser. Pretty sturdy if it’s not getting bumped much or over used. Might end up getting another set and putting the two together for a larger dresser space over all otherwise it’s pretty short ... show more
