    • Works Great without the need for adapter
This cartridge works great with Silhouette Cameo cutter without the need for adapters. Autocut sensing does not see this cartridge, but the easily adjusted blade depth allows accurate cutting depth using Sillouette's 'Test' mode. Even if you're not accustomed to 'eyeballing' the cutting blade depth, a couple of test cuts will lead you to the correct setting and the long term cost of the blades is a fraction of Sillouette's Auto-Depth setting cartridges. I recommend this cartridge over the others you see advertised because the effective diameter of the cartridge precludes the need for an adapter and the blades are much easier to load, with a magnetic device to hold the blade in place rather than having to fight with springs and disassembly/reassembly. ... show more

    • Works as Advertised
The reason I gave it 4 stars is that I have not yet had enough time to properly test it. I like this product because the blade adjustments are so simple, no need to label settings, no springs like with CB09. I had no problems to cut vinyl until I tried small and intricate letters. Silhouette Autoblade showed better results. To me, this doesn't matter much because I rarely if ever cut small or intricate shapes from vinyl. I mostly cut cardstock. It could as well be that the blade I inserted was not the sharpest, although it was new. I used different off brand blade, which I have plenty of, not the one that came with the housing. This housing is inexpensive, simple to use and significantly reduces costs of machine operation in comparison with the expensive original Silhouette blades. I have most of original Silhouette tools but I knew from the beginning that using only original would be en expensive sport. I came to Silhouette from Cricut where the blade housings work on a similar principle and use of cheap off brand blades is widespread among the users. I'm glad I came across this cutting tool and recommend it to others. ... show more
