A great addition to our treasure chest! These coins are very shiny, hard plastic. They are about 1+3/8 inch wide, and a bit thicker than a quarter. The design shows a laurel wreath around the border, with a backwards dollar sign in the center. (Something more generic/universal than the dollar sign might have been better in my opinion, but it's fine.) My kids have had teachers hand these out for a reward and could be used to buy candy or pencils. They are great for school or church fairs and party table top decorations. The coins look like actual gold and are very lightweight. My daughter likes to use them for stacking and fidgeting.
