Sturdy, well-made shutters. My home was built in 1935 and surprisingly still has its original shutters in remarkably good condition. However, two of the sets were starting to show some signs of rot at the bottom, so I decided to replace them. I wanted a solidly built shutter to match the originals as closely as possible. These new shutters did not disappoint. They weren’t a perfect match — my originals have two more louvers in their design. Not very noticeable, but I swapped out sets in order to move these to a less visible side of the house. Very happy with this purchase. Hope these will last as long as the originals! ... show more

they sent the wrong size 60" when 44" was ordered. It happens. Very sturdy. Some of the shutters reveal wood glued lumber. FYI now once reordered they still sent the same wrong 60 inch size. 2x

The test will be how long they last. I bought unpainted shutters to install for a client. 4 stars instead of 3 because I want to believe the people who designed these knew what they were doing and tested them. Unfortunately, what is shown in the pictures is not what they actually look like. The frames are made of dozens of small blocks of wood glued and pressed together, and I am skeptical about this construction, especially outside. When I painted them, there were even small gaps where some of the wood pieces are joined, which were noticeable until the third coat was done. Hopefully my client will keep the paint in good condition--I think that will be crucial with this construction. ... show more

Summer 2024, we restored our vintage New England Cape Cod home. The original wooden shutters needed to be replaced, we did not want to replace with vinyl. After reading the reviews. we decided to order a set of these mango wood shutters to see if they would work. The set arrived and the quality of this set was great. The shutters had a good weight to them, the black stain was great, and we decided to order the remaining six sets needed. After several attempts back and forth, we finally received all the correct sets in the black. All were received in great condition - I will add one side was always better than the other. We re-used our original hardware. Our house looked BEAUTIFUL, and we were so pleased. Fast forward March 2025, we did a walk around the house and noticed that the paint on the at least 10 of the 14 shutters had blistered and, was peeling, and the set on the front door had cracked. We had an extremely mild winter - with only 2 or 3 snow falls in southern New England. I cannot imagine what they would have looked like under normal weather conditions. On March 6, I reached out to Amazon Customer service to see if there was any kind of warranty. To date I have had no response. On April 1, I reached out directly to the manufacturer, Ekena Millwork, which also to date I have not received a response. I purposely purchased the shutters thru Amazon because of the ease of doing business. We will now have to remove all the shutters so they can be repainted and repaired. Very disappointed in this product and would advise to think twice about purchasing. ... show more
