I've read some reviews about this necklace being too thin. Well, it is a thin style necklace. If you're wanting something that's more sturdy, you'd be better served getting a different style necklace, of course you will spend more money. I wouldn't necessarily trust this style of necklace with a precious and pricey pendant. However, this style of chain really isn't for that. It is more of a stand-alone chain. It's petite, subtle and provides some sparkle at the same time. The spring ring could be a bit larger. The spring ring is stamped "14k". I love it! ... show more

I bought this in white. This is lightweight and may not be sturdy, but it is so very pretty and sparkles. Works beautifully with a blue topaz and diamond chip necklace I have. I may buy one in yellow gold too.
