Not real gold, only gold plated. Took necklace to a jewelry shop to be fixed and they refused since it wasn’t a precious metal. Rereading the fine print later on I do see it says gold plated but very hard to even find it. Very disappointed.     • Not Solid 14k Gold! Buyer Beware!

While the necklace is beautiful I urge everyone to dissect the misleading description of this “14k gold” necklace and you will find that it’s not a solid gold piece and that what you are purchasing is a gold plated necklace. Buyers should not have to look past the fancy wording. I foolishly bought 2 of these over priced gold plated necklaces because I was satisfied by looking at the material listed when it only listed 14k gold. That is misleading because it obviously is made of an underlying core metal that they never disclose which is not the characteristic of an honest merchant. Throughout the entire description this item is referred to as 14k gold. However in the 3rd paragraph of the description they slip in “14k gold plated” once for legal reasons and it’s extremely easy to miss, I did. I bought these necklaces as gifts and now I need to shop again for something real that probably won’t be here in time because I am too embarrassed to give this gold plated crap to someone I love. ... show more
