Got the drum on time and package was in good condition. On opening the box I was disappointed that there was zero packing material inside allowing the drum to free float but it was in good condition. The bearing edges on top are good the snare beds cut just a bit too deep but still effective and snare work great. I do understand that this is a $60 snare drum not $600 so from that angle in perfectly fine with the drum for what it is. But there are a couple other things that kind of made this a three star. The rims are very flimsy for what you are calling a marching snare which should be thick and stout to hold up the the high tension required for the heads the Crack like they should and the tension rods had 2 washers out of the 16 tension rods on the drum! This is bad quality control! The lack of wagers makes this drum almost impossible to tune correctly. Once you get them past hand tight they start to grind and then cease completely due to the rod digging into the rim edge. If a bit more care is put into the drum before it goes out the door this would be a5 star review ... show more
