I wanted to order a less expensive wig to in between styles to avoid wear the same wig style every day. I thought this was the perfect unit, but I was wrong. First off as you can see by the pictures, this wig loos totally different from the picture advertised; it IS NOT a Bob style wig! It would have been OK for my, in between wigs, but the parting space IS NOT 4-inches of parting space as you can see from the pictures, it is approximately 3-inches making it difficult to style (middle part/side part). Now let's talk about the hairline which looks nothing like the picture advertised, it's advertised as plucked? The construction and due to the 3-inch parting space, the end if the part, the track sits on top of your head. All the pretty styles shown advertised with this wig are not styled from this wig so don't be fooled. This wig is frizzy not curly like picture advertised. I didn't bother to do the strand test to see if its human hair because this false advertising scam is going right back to amazon. ... show more

I have a LOT of experience with human hair lace units, let me just preface by saying that. The unit is cute, but it is NOT the 14inches that I ordered even though that's what it claims on the package. I used a ruler and stretched the strands and at best, it's around 10 inches at its longest peaks. Back is even shorter. It def will need some customizing right out of the package; baby hairs are practically non-existent so you'll need to cut some of your own, lace is overall an ashy light brown color so if you're even a slightly darker shade of even light skinned (and I'm lightskinned lol) you'll def need to whip out some make-up or some lace tinting spray to get it to the correct color. Other issue I ran into is the adjustable elastic band. It is sewn in backward, so I'll need to remove it and flip it around or just remove it altogether. The silicone is facing outward instead of inward, so it's completely useless as is. The whole point of the silicone panel is to keep it from slipping around or riding up at the back. But, in my case, my head is large enough that I likely won't need it. But it may be a deal-breaker for all the glueless divas out there, so felt it was worth mentioning. I got this unit because for the price it'll hold me over until I can get the unit I REALLY want from my usual vendor. This is my first time purchasing a lace unit from Amazon, so it's def not what I'm used to. Overall it turned out to be a decent buy for the price point. If I'd paid more for this unit, I'd be a lot more disappointed. But I'm likely to wear it only for the next maybe 2-3 weeks or so since my real unit should be ready and arrived by then. So yeah, I'd say if you're just in need of something to get you by for a spell, this will work for you after some tweaking and moving things around. Overall the hair itself is soft; I did encounter some shedding, but it's not enough to write home about. Barely a strand or two here and there. All wigs shed, that's just a fact of life. And even more so with the curlier textures. Nothing a little knot sealer can't fix. I'll update once I've officially installed it, but these are my overall preliminary thoughts of the unit. **Update. I officially installed the unit. I'm glad I looked at this as more of a "get me by for now" kind of wig because yeah. First of all this unit did NOT take bleach AT ALL. I used Level 30 developer and left it on for at least 30 min (because at 20-25 min still didn't see a difference) and these knots were STILL jet black lol. I decided to just work with it anyway. Plan B, decided to just use lace-tint spray and make-up to get it to work. Idk what kind of lace this is, but it's def not HD based on my previous experiences with it. Takes forever to melt, I had to spend a LOT of time getting it to work. I must've wrapped it for a good hr and a half after I attached it. lol True HD lace is far more effortless when it comes to melting. I can't wear it completely glueless because of the way the ear tabs lift at the sides so no choice but to bond it down. But I just used lace gel/spray, not like straight up glue. Tape would work really well, too or a combination of the two. I did do some tweezing to the hairline and throughout the lace area because it was a bit thick and wiggy for my liking. Also widened the part once I set it where I wanted it. Decided on a middle part afterall. I WILL say the final styling of the unit came out nice. I sprayed some water, used a little mousse, ran a denman brush through it, then twirled the ends around my fingers and the curls became nice and juicy. I followed it up with a blow-dryer diffuser and the curls clumped right up. No signs of drying out at all. Also was able to make some cute fluffy baby hairs at the front; as mentioned previously, this unit does not come with distinctive baby hairs, you have to cut/make them yourself. Once it was mostly dry, I separated the curls and it looks really good. It's still not the length I paid for, but it's at least cute and will get me through for a couple weeks; that's all I need tbh. If you're considering this for more of a long-term daily wear unit, I would advise looking elsewhere. But it's cute just to hold you over if you're in a temporary bind, but still want human hair. Mostly I'm disappointed that it was absolutely NOT true to length, even when stretching the strands and measuring them from the crown. I've purchased 14" bobs before and they def were a bit longer than this one. At best this is like 10 inches. Second disappointment was the lace. It is not HD and did not melt very easily. Third was that the knots did not take bleach well at all even after leaving it in 30+ minutes. Oh yeah, ended up removing the elastic band completely. It was sewn in backward and ultimately didn't feel I needed it anyway. All it did was pull and cause tension at the ear tabs and cause it to lift anyway, so removing it completely was the best move. I have a true size large, 23in circumference head, so I needed all the room I could get lol. I will say, if you're like me and have a true size large head, the ear tab area will be a little awkward, but you can just cut away at them to fit around your actual ear shape and it'll be good. Overall still like the wig because it at least serves the purpose that I need it to serve. ... show more
