- How to cut crackable Rigid Core vinyl plank floor - SPC & RVP floor ? Each cut can only cut 1/16 inch (1~2mm) deep& approximately 4 inches cutting length, which is equal to that each cut is the upper surface of the floor. (Request to control your arm strength well, not too much.) The floor won't crack.

Bought this for my husband for his remodeling jobs. For the First time he told me I bought something just right. He is very surprised of the quality and how much time he is saving with this cutting machine when he is laying Lvp. He loves the 45* degree feature.

I'm a DIY guy not a pro but I have installed a few different rooms with flooring. The last two rooms I didn't bother getting a cutter like this and just used my miter saw and jigsaw for the cuts. It wasn't terrible and the jigsaw is probably faster but not as clean for the horizontal cuts. The straight cuts and much easier with this however. The biggest advantage though is not having the vinyl everywhere when using a saw. The little pieces of vinyl from the saw also seem to get a static charge and stick to everything. I didn't have nearly as much cleanup using this cutter.

I completed one room and the blade was chipped up and not cutting very well. I purchased another blade and it didn’t cut well from the start. I had the original blade sharpened but it dead dull again pretty quick. Had to switch to the miter saw to finish the bedroom we were working on. I hope to find a good planer blade that is the right size and better quality. This would be an awesome time saving tool if it worked.

I bought this laminate floor cutter to lay new flooring in my bedroom as I didn’t want to use a circular saw, and risk, damaging the flooring or making a mess all over the bedroom I was working on. It’s really easy to use and it makes clean straight cuts. I can’t wait to use it again when I get ready to update the flooring in the last room in my house. It was easy to make Notch cuts for register vents and around corners. I would highly recommend this cutter.
