This was a great product and it was very time saving, it also was very durable and a grew value for my money and it did the job well. I ended up returning it because I used Amazon Rentals but this was a great product.

The assembly instructions were clearly written by someone who has not assembled the product. I would advise using the exploded diagram. Not complicated to assemble. The locking pin is nice for storage however the handle only drops down to 22 degrees. Good value for non professional use.

Overall the laminate cutter worked as it should. The cutter seems sturdy and fairly well built. Assembly was easy. The included assembly tools performed as needed. The cutter is adjustable for 22.5°, 30°, 45° and of course 90°. Making the angle adjustments isn't a quick process but it is easy. Took me about 15 seconds. Just a matter of relocating 2 thumb screws and the guide bar. Most of your cuts are probably going to be 90° anyway, so you won't be moving it much. The numbers on the guide bar are spot on. I set the laminate at 4 inches and that's what it measured after the cut. I was cutting some 12mm thick laminate with about a 1mm pad on it. The cuts were smooth and clean. There is a propensity for it to smash the lower part of the laminate(see pic). This should not affect the look or function of the flooring. The only problem I see with how it cuts is that it tends to taper away from the top as it goes through the cut(see pic#1). This may be helped by holding the laminate tight to the bed while cutting. I made a cut with the laminate face side down and it cut the same way. I expected it to cut tapered into the board but it still tapered away from the top. Cutting upside down the taper was less pronounced though and there was only minimal chip out of the top which should be covered by trim(see pic#2). For comparison see pic #3 for the chip out with the top facing up. I have rented a laminate cutter from the orange box store before and this one performs about the same.

My hubby tried to DIY. A week later we hired a professional to install flooring in the entire house. 4 beds to baths & Kitchen. The installer was so happy. He really liked it. I should have given it to him. He did such an awesome job. He said, "this is nice". He was doing straight and angle cuts. Blade is sharp and angles are true. What more could you ask for. Highly recommend - I am speaking for the professional installer that used it.

Does not work with LVP. Blade is of low quality, almost like a utility knife razor. Used it for the first time today and I was very disappointed. Probably works fine with very thin laminate but my utility knife is working better for a tenth of the price. Would return it if the window didn’t close. I had to put a lot of pressure on it to cut. The bang it makes when it does cut is so loud, like extremely loud.
