I use this for a very high end DAC and that means and electronic noise through bad coiling/damping will result in buzz/hum through my headphones. No noise. None! My power pack for my DAC cost $280 because of the power smoothing and isolation. This one sounds just the same! Silent power! Very impressive and shows that quality doesn't have to cost the earth! Comes with an easily wired barrel/pin connector. i cut off whatever plug was on the lamp, installed the provided connector, which works fine with the power supply, which has its own barrel connector. I used 1/2" id heat-shrink tubing to keep it all together. There is a blue ʟᴇᴅ indicator on the power supply, which is bright enough to work as a tiny nightlight. If it's too bright, i'll just tape over it, but so far it's just right. I have a few other 12vdc power supplies, but this one is only about $5 and it has the connectors i needed. ... show more

Item is defective. Bought this so that I would have 2 plugs for my breast pump, and this plugs into the wall and blinks blue but never fully charged the pump, unlike the other charger I have. This will have to be returned.
