This review is for Bonison 1200 PCS Jump Rings for Jewelry Making Supplies, Open Jump Rings Kit with Jump Ring Pliers & Tweezers, Gold & Silver Metal Split Rings for Necklace, Bracelet Repair & DIY Crafts. This product is a kit for making or repair of jewelry with: 1) a ~5 1/8" x 2" x 1/2" twelve-compartment clear plastic case with flip-up lids containing 12 different types of jump rings and lobster clasps, 2) ~5" bent needle nose pliers, 3) ~4" angled end tweezers, and 4) ~3/4" metal ring with slots. The jump rings seem well made and coated and fairly strong (need to hold in the metal slots of the ring and use pliers to bend them) and the edges meet up. There are 5 sizes of jump rings ranging from ~4mm to 10mm and 1 size of lobster clasp 6mm w x 12mm l, in each of two colors: silver and gold. The silver is a bright, natural, neutral looking color. The gold is a bright yellow gold that looks somewhat cheap. The case contains a large number of each size of jewelry finding; this should be enough for occasional or general hobby use. There are not any tiny jump rings for use on finer jewelry. The jump ring case is well made and compact for easy storage. The tool accessories are very cheaply made (as expected for the price) but do the job. A good kit to have on hand for the reasonable price of around six dollars. ... show more

I'm not a jewelry maker, per se, but I do like turning found objects into wearable jewelry. This kit includes clasps and many sizes of jump rings, in both gold and silver colors. I didn't know what the gold slotted ring this was until I did a quick search online and even watched a short video how to use it to securely hold one side of the jump ring while you bend it with your pliers. Genius! I even learned there is a correct way to open and close a jump ring...which you can probably guess is not the way I was doing it. lol The pliers included work great and it was very easy to hold half of the ring while I was bending it. Not only are the pliers useful, but they have a decent weight to them and the ends are curved in such a way that makes them a breeze to use. Unless you're some high end jewelry maker who prefers using pricey precious metals, then this kit is a quite handy and a great value for all you get. Two thumbs up! ... show more

This little jump ring set contains so many of the findings and even a few tools for the beginning jewelry maker so I just had to grab one. It contains everything shown on the screen including the jump ring pliers, a jump ring opener tool, and tweezers. I'm still trying to figure out the finer points of the jump ring opening tool as I have a few already and have yet to actually use one but it looks pretty much like the others. The pliers appear to work as they should, but the tweezers are barely tweezers and more just to pieces of tweezer shaped metal connected at the base. They don't look very useful and since I already have long tweezers these will probably wind up in the trash. Still in spite of the tweezers, I still feel like this kit should get 5 stars. There are just so many jump rings in different sizes and even clasps in both gold and silver colors. So if you're a jewelry hobbyist, you really can't go wrong. And I actually kind of like that they aren't making claims that they are plated or filled with any precious or semi-precious metals when clearly they are not. Plus they are all neatly corralled in their own little storage case, so for six dollars and change it's pretty hard to beat. ... show more

This is a nice little assortment of clasps and jump rings. I had never used a slotted ring for prying open the jump rings before, but I really like it. It's a very clever little tool paired with the pliers. The tweezers are a little flimsy, but for picking up the tiny jump rings, it gets the job done. The jump rings bend easily enough to pry apart, and they go back together nicely without being misshapen or anything ... show more
