I was reading through the reviews and wasn't able to get a good feel for how these eggs interacted with other dyes besides what the kit comes with. I had a "science experiment" dye kit this year that involved putting eggs in a glass cylinder with the dye and some baking soda and then dumping vinegar into it. The eggs floated very easily because they're hollow, but we learned to hold them down with a wooden spoon and they dyed perfectly fine with vibrant colors just like real eggs would. We used the included dyes and bags. This a great all inclusive option for a quick kids activity. Our 4yo loves mixing the dyes to make new colors. We didn't use a separate egg dying kit so I don't know if that would work.

I returned them after I found the exact same ones at Walmart for $1.98. It even says $1.98 on the package. That’s what made me go look for them cheaper. Good product but not at that price
