I got these for a project to make stationary blinds for high-up triangular windows, with black bottoms and mirrored tops. A problem with that is that here in north Florida, in the enclosed glass space where the blinds will be in, the temperature inside can be far over 100 F in summer while it can be as low as 20 F in winter. So there is a thermal expansion issue, because acrylic expands much more with temperature than the wood it will be stuck to. To see what might happen, we stuck a 9 inch mirror piece to an unpainted piece of plywood, and I put that first in the freezer for a few hours, and then in a 170 F oven for a few hours. In neither case, the mirror detached from the wood, as I had feared. We repeated with a painted piece of plywood, with the same results. That 3M tape is really good! One detail that might be relevant: we carefully warmed the acrylic with a heat gun when we stuck it to the wood. I figured that having the acrylic normally under tension is probably better than under compression. ... show more

So I can see what everyone in the reviews is saying about the funhouse mirror thing , so I’ve noticed it only looks like that on some of the sheets I got because I had slightly bent it my self and it warped the mirror, I suggest when peeling off the paper from the back of the sticky side that you lay it flat on a flat surface and gently peel back the paper to expose adhesive , this helps with preventing the funhouse mirror effect , also be sure to stick the mirrors to a flat surface any textured walls or services will cause that funhouse mirror effect ... show more

I got these as an alternative to "baby mirrors" that cost at least 4 times as much. I put them in the living room and hallway, down on my little one's level. He smacks them, kisses them, grabs for them and they don't budge. I specifically did not put them in his bedroom, as I want to be able to keep an eye on him just in case, but have had them up for a few months now and they are great. The only reason I took one star away is that they seem to be just a tad harder to clean than other mirrored surfaces. But really, that's no big deal for my use. ... show more

We put these above bed. Can see reflection well enough but even up close the reflection is wavy and distorted, especially where the tiles meet. It would be great for an accent or like we have above bed where you dont need nor expect to see a clear image from 6 feet away. Quite entertaining though! Had to do return 1st set because edges were bent and creased as if banged around...they came in envelope not a box. Second set came with same issues but fewer. We hung them anyway and if butted up next to eachother like we have them you hardly notice. Surely cheaper and same effect as a pricey mirror. I may get more to make it bigger ... show more
