I and my better half are renovating the whole house, removed the OLD can lights and replaced them with these 6 inch LED recessed lights. These baiyilux Recessed LED Lights are amazing! If you have not yet ever tried these types of super thin LED recessed lights, then let me introduce you to the baiyilux 6 inch 6500K LED recessed lights! The awesome thing about these super thin LED recessed lights is that they can be installed anywhere. Oops... did you cut a hole for a light and hit a joist? With any other type of lights this would be a big problem, not so with these recessed lights. They are so thin in fact, that you can install them under the joist and spring clips hold them in the hole by clamp down on the sheetrock. These LED recessed lights are a piece of cake to install as they already come prewired each with their own junction box. You simply have to remove one of the knockouts in the junction box, install some sort of cable clamp, put you cable inside and connect the hot, ground and neutral with the already installed leads inside the junction box. Then all you have to do is close the lid on the junction box, put it up through the hole followed by the light and your done! These lights are very well made even down to the junction box which is better quality than lights of the same type I purchased at a home improvement store for a large markup a while back. The lights are fixed at 6500k Daylight color temperature so that is either going to be a plus or a negative depending on your preference, so keep that in mind when ordering. Overall, I would definitely recommend these baiyilux LED Recessed lights. They are a great option to provide nice even lighting to any room without using much power at all, so they will end up saving you money off your electric bill over time and will eventually pay for themselves! I am not a professional carpenter, electrician, handyman whatever. But I am fairly handy. Put these in my workshop outside. Easy enough to get in the attic plan out the lights run the wiring and get them all on the same switch, like I wanted. I did have the benefit of working in fairly open attic but there is nothing about these lights themselves that would complicate installation. These lights are a good decently priced option amongst the recessed lighting market. Their bright and work as intended and are easy to install. The flip latches that lock these lights in place are sturdy with good spring retention so they wont sag down. My one complaint about these are the wire nuts. They are really small for your typical 14 or 12 wire that most houses have. I've had other brands in the past that included quick connectors that work really well however there is a 40$ difference from those to these. For 15$ you could upgrade to those and still be less than the other brand i used in the past. Their a good solid start but plan on replacing the wire nuts. ... show more
