The rake/scoop is well built and lightweight. The different-sized holes on the scoop do a great job of sifting out waste and unwanted foreign debris, while allowing finer materials to pass through. It has a long enough handle that it reduces the need to keep bending down.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this tool to facilitate daily cleaning in the chicken coop and it has been very useful. The 2-in-1 design allows me to collect debris faster and without having to bend down so much, which has saved me time and effort. The materials feel firm and have so far resisted constant use well. The handle is lightweight but stable, and the design of the blades prevents straw or manure from getting stuck. I received it on the estimated and well packed date. Overall, it is a functional product, as described on the page. I am pleased with the result and will continue to use it in my cleaning routines.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is sturdy! We've used sand in the run and bottom of the hen house for years and have been using shell sifting tools or more recently wire versions similar to this. Those bend and are not strong enough for winter poop scooping. I really like this one and for nice open spaces it is amazing. However, the severity of the curve makes it a bit challenging to get a good scoop angle inside the hen house or against a wall.

While its primary purpose is stated as being for cleaning chicken coops, this bright-green tool is a handy helper for many other tasks! We don’t have chickens but I always like thinking of good ways to use things for different purposes. So far, we’ve used it to sift through dried leaves by our deck, sort larger stones from pea gravel in the driveway, and take care of animal poop in the yard and barn. While we have no intention of classifying all the different types of animal poop, we can say that it works for dog poop, cat poop, raccoon poop, possum poop, and groundhog poop. We’ll take the word of others on its efficacy for chicken poop, horse poop, and kangaroo poop. (Who knows?!) We’re going to see how it does with acorns and walnuts. Certainly, we’ll try it in the garden rows. I’ll let you know how it goes as we continue to explore its utility! And the bright green just makes it a little more fun to use! :)

This Chicken Coop Scooper is big and has a deep scoop. The front edge has tines so it can also rake up coop debris in addition to scooping. It's lightweight and the material it's made of is super strong (it's made of the same stuff car bumpers are made of!). The scoop has honeycomb shaped holes that allow the big stuff to be picked up, and the sand to sift out. The steel handles are about 15"in lengths that are adjustable by adding or subtracting lengths. It's designed for single-hand use, but I usually have to use both hands when cleaning the coop. Lol! It's simple to use, and very practical. I like it. Excellent quality and value.

Wow, this thing is sturdy! I'm impressed with the quality and durability of this scoop/rake. I was a little hesitant at first because of its higher price point, but it gets the job done! The times are slightly sharp but not dangerously so. It can scoop on one side, or turn it around and it becomes a pretty decent rake! The height is adjustable and this is great for my 6'3 husband so he doesn't have to bend as much. My only concern is because it is plastic, will it survive being outdoors in cold weather or will the plastic become brittle? I'll update in a few months I guess!
