  • Keeps your plants safe from birds
I bought this garden netting mostly for my berry plants that I'm growing. Typically in the summer months, the insects and birds eat the berries from my plants and leave me next to nothing. I have about 20 wine berry plants, 1 Tayberry plant, 1 Watermelon Berry Plant and 2 Wintergreen Cherry Berry Plants. I bought 2 sets of these and had to cut them up in order for them to go over each of the plants. Cutting them up wasn't very easy, even with a 2nd person to help. Putting them over the plants was very easy and they have great coverage. These nets have very small holes so no birds and many of the insects weren't able to get to the berries. These nets were very light on the plants and didn't cause them to droop and the rain (or water from the sprinklers) was able to penetrate the plant and the roots and they remained healthy. In the fall, I wanted to remove the nets. The Wine Berry Stalks are very sharp, so, the netting stuck to it. I had a very difficult time removing them and several strands of the netting ripped. I do recommend this netting, but, if you have sharp plant stalks, just be aware that these may rip no matter how careful you may be. I was able to save most of the netting so I'll be able to use them again this year. ... show more

  • Keep your berries safe!
Size: 10x30FT
Worked well to cover blueberry bushes. We got a ton of berries and kept them safe from birds. However, a word from the wise: once one blew off and we didn’t notice for a day, the crows found d the bushes and after that, even with the net back on, they pecked holes through and managed to eat all the berries! I don’t think this is an issue with the product as it did the trick for a long harvest till that point! ... show more

  • Cicadas
Size: 10x30FT
Cicadas search for young trees, slit small soft branches to lay eggs. This mesh is probably smaller mesh than needed but it's tough, easy to work with and would probably keep small insects out well. It's pretty much what I needed and worked well.

  • Makes good plant tents.
I needed to tent my native plant milkweed nursery with a very light weight netting that would let sunlight and water through to the plants. The netting will also keep Monarch butterflies from laying eggs on the potted plants, which were recovering from the springtime onslaught of Monarch caterpillars. The size and fine weave netting of two 10' x 20' packs proved to be sufficient for tenting of the nursery pot flats. The tented area is in seasonal partial sunlight so I don't yet know if the plastic material will survive the tropical sunlight, however, it was strong enough to make a tear-free tent held down with rocks, that easily passes water and light. ... show more

  • Works!
Mesh was used to keep moth butterflies out of my cabbages, it did a great job!! Held up the entire growing season, handled rain storms, rain goes thru the mesh as well as plenty of sunlight. Pins easily to the soil, and will roll up and reuse next season!!

  • Size inaccurate
We ordered the 10' x 20' size option and found it to be about 2' short on the longest side. It was also cut wildly out of square, which was a problem for our intended use. Unfortunately we can't return it as when we attempted to install the netting it snagged and tore immediately.

  • snags easy
This netting is fine as long as you are careful not to snag it on ANYTHING. It also shrinks as the summer goes on. I stretched over a frame for a greenhouse. By mid-summer it had shrank several inches and ripped through the staples. So if you plan on attaching it to a frame, leave some slack. Also, if you have cats, raccoons, opossums, or other critters, they will destroy it with ease to get at your garden! ... show more
