These boards have been great as they gave support to a bed that had very wide rails. Which was fine with the mattress we had before but the new one was memory foam only and sank between the bars. It made the mattress very unstable. So when I saw these boards I ordered them hoping it would fix our problem and it did so wonderfully. The boards come in two foldable strips. The ones we received are blue fabric with tiny silicone dots on them to keep them from sliding. They zip around the outside so you can take the covers off the boards for cleaning or washing. The boards themselves seem to be of a tough honeycombed plastic material, but don’t bend. Each board is close to 1/4 thick. They are very lightweight. Even with lifting both strips of boards together they were easy to pick up and put into place.. Ours fit across the bed lengthwise and went over the entire area, minus less than an inch on all sides. The only thing I wish was there was some way to tie the set of boards together so they don’t end up sliding apart in the middle. But so far the non slip dots have kept it from moving. I am very happy with this order and would get them again for sure. They have saved our bed so are worth the price!

I wanted to use these Bunkie boards on a bed that had the slat system. I don't like the slats but they are not removeable. These boards are doing just what they are supposed to do. I like the material they are encased in. The little grip dots are good to keep the mattress in place. I do have a concern with the ability of the inner plastic honeycomb boards to hold up to a larger heavier person. They handle me fine (5'7" 132lbs). And they zip off easily so you can wash them it needed but as they are below your mattress that would be surprising if needed. I am happy with the product in all and as long as they don't start to sway I am good! And they do come in two different sections that have there own separate sections so the seams between boards need to hit in the right place.

I purchased the queen-size version of this bed support. In hindsight, I probably should have ordered the large queen size, as this one does not fully cover the length of my bed vertically. Even so, I was still able to use it effectively without any major issues. The material covering the support board has grip dots or raised bumps on both sides. These grips not only prevent my mattress from sliding, but they also help keep the board itself securely in place. This feature has worked very well for my setup. I use a memory foam mattress, which I already find very comfortable, but adding this support board underneath seems to provide extra stability and support. It has noticeably improved the overall feel of the bed, making it feel more secure and evenly supported. Overall, despite the sizing issue, I am very pleased with the performance and added support this bed support provides.

Upon unboxing, the board is noticeably thin at 1/4 inch. While the claim of "solid engineered wood" feels sturdy for its size, it is lightweight and feels like plastic. We ordered the queen size bit it would fit a full also. The setup is straightforward: it unfolds easily, and the removable cover has a zipper, I guess to hand wash it. The little dots on the fabric do a good job of keeping the board from sliding. I'm not sure if the sagging support is helping or not. Support is probably 4 out of 5 although it functions well to keep your back straight during the night if you have a thin mattress. Good value for the money, since the alternate is a new mattress.

This turned out to be more robust and versatile than I expected. It's core is very strong engineered wood and it is covered with a removable, machine-washable cover. The cover is light blue and the exterior surface sports a symmetrical, closely-spaced array of small raised dots to keep the mattress in position. I'm not certain about the dots material but they like silicone and significantly increase the surface friction to securely hold the mattress in position. We installed a new steel bedframe in a guest bedroom several months ago. It supports 1,200 pounds and with close slat spacing claims to not require a box spring, but I could feel the fixed steel slats through the new mattress, thus why we wanted a bunkie board. With this board in place there is no sagging of the mattress between the slats and now it feels like you are laying on a cloud. While the $115 price is not insignificant, the quality, robust construction and superior performance make it worth that, and more. It has transformed that guest bed into a top-quality feel and a very comfortable bed.

This support piece seems promising when you first unpack it, especially since it’s lightweight and easy to move around. Once it’s on the bed frame though, it feels a bit flimsier than expected. The low profile design is nice, but it doesn’t add as much firmness as I hoped, and the split sections shift a little more than they should. It does help reduce some noise, but not enough to make a big difference. The breathable material is fine, though it doesn’t feel particularly sturdy or long lasting. It’s an acceptable quick fix if you need something simple, but it left me wishing it offered a bit more strength and stability. Biggest negative is that the product does not look like the pictures at all. The board I was sent was blue and it looked like it was covered with a cheap tarp material. Not the best experience.

We just installed this bunkie board and so far, we’re pleased. Installation was very easy, just remove the mattress, place the board on the bed frame, and put the mattress back on. It appears sturdy and well-made, and it definitely adds extra support to a bed that previously felt too hard. We’re still waiting to see how durable it is over time and whether it makes a significant long-term improvement in comfort, but our first impression is positive. Overall, easy to use and promising so far.
